Is it just me, or are the “major” sales not ever that good? Like a lot of games go on sale, but never for as low as they otherwise randomly go on sale for.

How many FF VII spin-offs are there now? Don’t get me wrong, 7 is my favorite Final Fantasy… but there’s so many of them now. I only have the original and remake intergrade — but there’s crisis core, rebirth, and who knows what else… are they that different from each other?

I need to remind myself to occasionally look through plugins to see what’s new. Finally added HLTB (How Long to Beat) and discovered Screenshot Uploader (auto-uploads new screenshots to Steam).

Otherwise already had Decky Recorder and SteamGridDB. Any other recommendations?

I think I had just been depriving myself of story rich games. I’m a few hours into Uncharted 4 and there’s so much story/cut scenes! Loving all the parkour and stuff; fun game.

@dnc This makes me miss all the slow cooking I used to do in my crock pot. I do recall always thinking ‘no way this is enough liquid,’ but then the liquid in all the veggies seeps out and the steam is held in well enough that it always worked out in the end :)

I’m starting to understand the more critical reviews of #DeathStranding. Saying it's gorgeous and a work of art, good story, etc — but the actual gameplay gets kinda old.

Though I do feel like new things like vehicles and such keep getting introduced to keep it interesting. I think what's more annoying is BTs showing up out of nowhere. Maybe I just need to turn the difficulty down to 'story’.

It's not difficult by any means, but annoys me when they show up.

#DeathStranding is such a beautiful game; the screenshots don't do it justice, but damn does it look good on the #SteamDeck OLED with HDR on.

Kinda love how cinematic the game is. Only an hour in, but feels like an interactive movie more than it does a game, which I’m ok with.

Looking forward to seeing what #DeathStranding2 and #OD are all about.

Did the first capstone dungeon to get up to World Tier 3. Helltide events feel the same as the basic seasonal events, but higher level and more grind. Feeling good about my character though; destroying stuff many levels ahead and quickly approaching lvl 60. Getting a bit grindy, but still enjoying ripping through stuff.

It’s probably the controller, but I’m experiencing this annoying thing where my Switch Pro controller will just randomly disconnect from the then reconnect fairly quickly.

The most annoying part about this is that some games (namely Skyrim, as that's what I'm playing right now) don't pick the controller back up when it reconnects. If it did, it would be fine. I end up needing to exit the game and re-open. Super annoying.

Recently started docking my to a monitor at my desk when we moved the kids’ desks next to mine to enable gaming sessions. I had been using an Xbox controller in this scenario, which works great — but recently switched to a Switch Pro Controller because it's less used in the house (more often available), but even if I rebind the keys, muscle memory throws me off with the swapped X/Y, A/B buttons 😫 Why did they have to be different?

is coming into the scene hot with top tier indies like Dead Cells, Terra Nil, Oxenfree, Moonlighter, Spiritfarer, and soon .

I wouldn't say it has any bearing on retention of the streaming plan for me, as phone is the last platform I use for gaming; but it's intriguing.

What's a game you TOTALLY misjudged?

I wrote off Days Gone instantly upon seeing it at E3. Zombies. Open world. Biker protag???

It's actually super good though. Yes, it's still zombies, but it plays really well, narrative is actually pretty good. Main character is actually NOT hateable despite what you'd think.

And the horde fights are actually really intense and fun. Was glad to make it one of my "few Open World Games Of The year"

@SirTapTap I had initially totally misjudged Baldur’s Gate 3 because I’ve never been a fan of turn based games, and I’ve always thought D&D type games were a “next level” of nerd that was beyond me… but honestly it’s awesome and I’m glad I ended up picking it up and playing it.
