The iPod touch was the first Apple product I bought with my own money in 2010. While there are many things I could say, I’ll just mention how cool these Flash-based web ads were for it.

(I’ll also mention that this was for my ninth birthday and I did not have a bank card, so the specialist had to count a bunch of loose change and singles up to $200 or whatever it was)

there is an additional hard problem in computer science: creating a monogrammer for avatar placeholders. how are you supposed to derive a few characters? first one or two characters in a string? what about first/last name? what about hyphenated last name? do you force capitalize it? what about names formatted in some other language that you haven't designed for?
