@anders@ruud I have been looking into this, and it seems it sometimes fails. Often a retry will work. Doesn't depend on the word you search for. I'll look into it further.

New server within local (mstdn) network
Setup new Mastodon server that's ready for a database import
On new server:
Smaller main server
Scalable volume for database
Scalable volume for search db
Scalable volume for extra backups
Now I'm waiting for a good moment to power down Mastodon, start backups and wait for that until that backup can be reimported on the new server via the volume!
After 15 years of using an iPhone, I'm considering switching to Android. I've ordered a cheap Samsung just to try it for a while before buying a top-end model.
Let's see if I can get used to it.
(I'm also a Mac user so there will be some trade-offs..)
I really like the Busycal iOS app, does anyone know a good #Android alternative? It syncs with my calendar & tasks on Nextcloud.

Those wanting to try out an alternative to Mastodon, you're welcome to create an account on https://sharkey.world. #Sharkey has a very different layout, but most of the same features as Mastodon, and many features Mastodon hasn't. Just see for yourself, and it's fine to either use it as a second account, or you can decide to migrate your current account to it, if you really like it.
Today, @jorijn and @ruud had a session where the handover of toot.community to the Fedihosting Foundation took place.
This foundation is a non-profit setup by @ruud and @stux which owns many fediverse platforms like mstdn.social, mastodon.world, lemmy.world and others.
For the users, nothing will change. Just keep tooting as you did before. Any questions can be addressed to this account, or mailed to support@toot.community.
We will move to new servers, but that’s because we want the setup to be the same as the other instances, to simplify management.
It won’t be the same servers as lemmy.world , so normally they shouldn’t impact eachother. It will be in the same Hetzner account as all other instances (currently toot is also running in Hetzner).
The Patreon and Ko-fi have also been handed over to us.
