OK I will be watching #Eurovision with the kids, so don't worry I won't be posting about it. I might have a column open with the related hashtags though.
After 15 years of using an iPhone, I'm considering switching to Android. I've ordered a cheap Samsung just to try it for a while before buying a top-end model.
Let's see if I can get used to it.
(I'm also a Mac user so there will be some trade-offs..)
I really like the Busycal iOS app, does anyone know a good #Android alternative? It syncs with my calendar & tasks on Nextcloud.
@ruud I can't say I've needed anything more advanced than Google Calendar, but at this point Android and iOS have stolen so much from each other over the years that you should have no trouble switching.
I've tried Android for 2 weeks on a cheap Samsung, and am getting used to it. Just a few things from the iPhone I am missing, but overall finding my way in the Android ecosystem. I really like how you can tweak the interface as you like it.
So now I've bought a S24 ultra, and so far loving it! Really good quality phone, and a bit cheaper than the iPhone I had. #android#samsung
Added all platforms we host to our non-profit foundations website, but the list is too long so now we need to change the background image :-) The website is a work-in-progress anyway.
Ooh just saw they're building a V4 #Tesla supercharger at the McDo just around the corner..
I normally charge at home (solar power) but sometimes I forget or need to quickly charge so this is really convenient.
(FYI, in NL all EVs can charge at a Tesla supercharger)
@ruud Here I can also charge my Ioniq 6 at Tesla’s, but for whatever reason it seems to be limited to 100 Kw (I can go to almost 300 Kw at other superchargers)
Do you experience the same thing?
TIL Kai Ryssdal joined your instance, cool! Maybe we can get a Make Me Smart interview between you and him about the fediverse, especially now that you've hosted nearly everything?
For my business mail I am still using Google.. was planning on migrating off that, someday.
Now I got an e-mail notifying me of a 54% price increase for Google Workspace.
Immediately got myself a @protonmail subscription and will be migrating today...
Nice, we upgraded https://lemmy.world to #Lemmy 0.19.3 finally. Seems to all have worked nicely, no issues so far. I don't like the yellow/brown color of new comments in the default frontend, but luckily I prefer the Photon frontend which doesn't have that (https://p.lemmy.world)
