The cab drivers in Montreal have to have their cab inspected like twice a year. During my time in MTL I had a few of them tell me they'd deliberately avoid fixing issues with their car if they had an inspection soon, as the inspectors always found something.

I've had an afternoon of reading SOC 2 reports... and I kinda get that vibe. If the entire report is "no exceptions noted" I just assume the auditor wasn't trying that hard.

@preinheimer Maybe, but I worked really hard for 6 months to get our SOC 2 report with “no exceptions noted”. Took a massive amount of effort and attention to detail. The inspector asked loads of questions and seemed quite thorough asking for clarification on several points to ensure that we all understood what was being asked for and that our process met the requirement.

The new UI so far is mostly confusing. Perhaps it takes some time to get used to, but it also behaves weirdly (or buggy)

Reddit communities moving to Discord instead of an open forum website sounds like a terrible idea.

I understand leaving Reddit. Take your community and go somewhere else, sure.

There are some very compelling reasons to upgrade to PHPUnit 10. The improvements to handling of deprecation and warning notices are lovely.

The light trails left by two cyclists travelling away from the camera in Devonshire Tunnel. One of the light trails is broken as it was a flashing cycle light. The other was always on and so is a continuous red stream.

This is from a trip earlier this month to the Two Tunnels Greenway south of Bath with @stuherbert.
