Just curious what code editors other #pico8 game devs are using. Do you use:

  1. PICO-8 built-in editor
  2. Code-OSS (VSCode, VSCodium, etc.)
  3. Sublime Text
  4. Vim/Neovim (or another terminal editor)
  5. Other (please add name of your preferred editor)

@fsouchu @krystman I thought mine was dead, but I was able to revive it a few weeks ago by making an Ubuntu 14 live USB and reflashing it! ... Then I sold it on eBay 🥲

Initially I kept getting a FEL timeout error, which I thought was a USB 2.0/3.0 compatibility thing after some googling, but it ended up being because I messed up the paths to the tools so watch out for that!

Beautiful Runaway, but for LSDJ instead of Pico-8. Doing these conversions has been great for teaching me what I can and can't do w LSDJ, but without the extra stress of composing a new song added on top

@Liquidream Oh man, scroll thru chiptune forums next time u have a chance, the LSDJ community is insane. This is my first serious pass at using LSDJ, but a lot of arrangement tricks I use in Pico-8 are informed by years of listening to how LSDJ artists write around the GB chip limits. @alanxoc3 lol, totally hipster, but funny enough, unmodded, the OG DMG Game Boy actually has the best audio vs GB Pocket/Color and can be improved further w mods. I'm debating doing some additional repairs/mods but the main board is super damaged from corrosion, probably why it was one of the cheapest listings, lol, so I'm debating if it's worth the risk
