Are there any spartan compatible clients that can be directly installed from the App Store for iOS? My search results are pulling up a lot of crypto nonsense. I used to like Elaho, but I hear it is deprecated now.

OK this is incredibly short notice but I got Covid and I cannot run the frozen gnome 50K on Saturday. The organizers are OK with me transferring the bib to somebody else as long as they sign the waiver. Let me know if you’re interested, first come first serve.

Mildly entertaining minimalist OS with some old-school vibes. Fits on a floppy disc https://kolibrios.org/en/index.htm

Finished the Des Plaines River 50 mile trail race. Lots of rain, wind, and some rookie mistakes in the beginning. Ended up finishing strong and had a blast. Changing shoes and socks at the half way point was great advice. Thanks everyone.

“ UI is communication, and UI designers have decided that mumbling is cool.” Probably the best comment I’ve ever read on HN in my life.

rickcarlino,

@strypey I’m having trouble finding it but it would be somewhere in here https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37864867

Trying to find an old late 90s website where you would build a 3-D organism thing. Some of them had wheels and goofy trumpet horns for mouths. Your organism would live in a simulation that was running 24 hours a day. You didn’t control the organism but you could check in on it. It was sponsored by a university I think. Had really funny graphics. Does anyone remember this?
