In positive news, I am redesigning the entire on-boarding experience for the psych ward while I'm in here because there is SO much that needs addressed.
There is so much information that's only been conveyed to be verbally, nothing written down, all these surprises that keep popping up, not sure what I'm allowed to do. Oh, another blood test? Oh, Mental Health Act orders only last three days? Oh, I can't use the exercise bike without being medically cleared by a doctor? Oh, an impromptu interview with yet another psychiatrist because involuntarily admissions need a review by a second specialist within 24 hours?
And apart from my severe depressive episode I'm pretty switched on and even for me it's disconcerting!
So hopefully I can do a lot of good for both patients and staff while I'm here ❤️
I mean, when it comes to consent I feel the hospital is playing pretty fast and loose here. The only written consent I've given is for sharing information with third parties.
Which given how seriously we take consent in software design and user research for far less traumatising applications, this could probably do with a significant audit of privacy and consent.
@nathanaelcbr Ah! Looking at the Wikipedia articles on it, I think I switched from OpenOffice to LibreOffice in Jan 2011, ideologically not trusting Oracle (who'd acquired Sun) to be a good shepherd of OpenOffice.
I hadn't realised in June 2011 OpenOffice was spun out into Apache! Kinda odd both exist really given that.
It's going to be weird seeing our last few ski resorts completely pivot away from winter sports and run solely as MTB / luge / flying fox / gondola destinations.
So looks like 3G coverage in my building is good. 4G and 5G are rubbish. But auto mode doesn't give up persisting with 4G and 5G. I wonder if I can configure Tasker to switch to 3G only when I'm at work and back to auto when I leave work ...
@luciedigitalni It just totally seems like the sort of thing lawyers and legislators would have long implemented because liability, insurance, law enforcement etc.
@nathanaelcbr@luciedigitalni Yes, I see the inconsistency... Come to think of it, you could hand all that information over and it still wouldn't prove the keys were yours to cut or even what car/house/whatever they unlock, so maybe this is why they don't ask
"Rapture pants" is what I call it when my wife decides to go pantless at home and just leaves her pants on the floor ... in the bathroom, the loungeroom, sometimes the kitchen.
I call it "Rapture pants" because it looks like she was taken up into Heaven but her pants got left behind.
A fun prepper activity for the whole family is to simulate an EOTWAWKI scenario by not paying your utilities and having your power and water disconnected.
