Ooh I've already noticed a few things LibreOffice does nicer than OpenOffice and wish I'd switched sooner, I assumed it was inferior.

@nathanaelcbr I hadn't realised OpenOffice still existed! In my memory some big company acquired it and stopped it being open?

@frabcus You might be thinking of StarOffice that Sun took over, but OpenOffice is still going, now called Apache OpenOffice but still open source.

@nathanaelcbr Ah! Looking at the Wikipedia articles on it, I think I switched from OpenOffice to LibreOffice in Jan 2011, ideologically not trusting Oracle (who'd acquired Sun) to be a good shepherd of OpenOffice.

I hadn't realised in June 2011 OpenOffice was spun out into Apache! Kinda odd both exist really given that.
