I sent the #drone up to capture the beauty and relative solitude of my current #anchorage off Valcour Island in Lake Champlain. Yes, there's a small party of mostly quiet campers on shore nearby. And that weird long, narrow floating thing seems to be a swimming dock that's anchored there. But hardly anyone comes into this cove and it's dead quiet and calm at night. #boating #BoatLife

Does anyone know what the deal is with Blogher? I apparently have an account there -- created in 2011! -- but don’t see how to log in. And every time I click a link, Firefox tells me it’s a security risk.

@ploum @APBBlue As a writer, I find this upsetting. But as a former student who faced insanely high textbook prices, I understand your position.

If only we could find a compromise where writers were properly paid for their work and students weren’t unfairly burdened by high textbook costs. (Perhaps by reducing the profit share of middlemen?)

I started borrowing DVDs from my public library last year, and now, I cannot figure out how people tolerate watching movies with all the dang commercial interruptions on cable/satellite TV. 🤔

@ai6yr I have not understood this for a while.

I suspect it’s because we have been conditioned to tolerate commercial interruptions. When you remove that aspect of your life, you lose the conditioning. I cannot watch TV with commercials anymore. It also explains why I watch so little TV; I only subscribe to two channels and neither have commercials.

Well, rather than edit the crap out of the 3 hours of footage I shot the other day while in the Atlantic Ocean, I decided to just share it all, set to ambient music. It’s a 4k video shot through the front window of my boat. I’m wondering if watching it will make anyone seasick. 🤔

Samsung TV Plus is free and has a TON of content, both live and on demand.

You will have to sign up for an account, but Apple's "Hide My Email" works just fine. The signup process is VERY buggy, but press on, you'll get there.

Currently watching "Jobs" on my Mac. Thought that was apropos.
