I need an easier way to learn AnimationPlayer and AnimationTree in #Godot 😭
Why there's an animation called ↩️ RESET in the middle of the other animations I made 👀
Why the AnimationTree does like mixing all the animations together and when I click on "Deterministic" on the Animation Player it doesn't do that anymore, what does "Deterministic" mean? 🤨
For the record I know sooner or later I'll understand it. It still kind of goes over my head how all that works 🤔
Oh, ok! That's why it looked like the last animation I added or something like that, I thought it was a random sprite that it was pointing to or something like that. 🤣
So recently I was having some #AnalysisParalysis with my #Games collection. Those I own, those I wanted to play, those I haven't finished yet, and missing trophies too. It was like 3 or 4 days stuck like that 😭
Watching a video about it on YouTube of Healthy Gamer GG gave me some insight about the issue and ways of reducing that kind of symptoms.
Mainly I reduced my options, lowered my attachment to my #PS3 and gave myself a longer time limit for completing my objectives, to reduce the anxiety
I ended up installing #NeedForSpeedUnderground on my #XboxSeriesS and that's the game I'm gonna play now on (Emulation on Series S is something really amazing 😍) and suddenly I began to enjoy gaming again. For me, modern games don't do it, and I discovered that there are some games specially from #PS2 and #PS3 era that are the ones that I like to replay from time to time.
I came to the realization that gaming has always been an important part of my life. As I grew up, I didn't have many friends or social environments, and games were always there to be at my side. That's why it's hard for me to let go of my old consoles. But now I'm learning new things about myself, and having new experiences in life and it's amazing ☺️
I've used GameMaker for a long time and it feels so hard to move to a different engine for making 2D stuff. Been struggling to learn Godot just cause it's more stable on Linux to work on tho
Hi #gamedev people, just noticed that there are two gamedev instances - this one (mastodon.gamedev.place) and peoplemaking.games, what's the difference? Are there more? 👀
I can't even begin to describe the amount of weird math I had to do to get mouse cursor coordinates (drawn in green) to translate into game world coordinates (drawn in blue) while also accounting for game view rotation
