I don't know how it is in other countries, but in #Norway we have (at least) three package delivery providers that offer automated parcel machines for pickup. They all use the same machine provider, but with different branding on top, and often stand next to each other. I feel it would be way better for everyone if these were owned by the city/kommune and provider-independent.

I decided to run an experiment this year that I’m excited about! My goal is to test the #libraryeconomy (it’s the future) in practice. I set up a simple spreadsheet for myself and my friends (and hopefully, friends of friends) to create a “things library”. Whatever’s there, we can borrow from each other, free of charge. Stuff such as instruments or tools, but also things that take up space and are not used often, such as an extra duvet for guests, or hiking gear. #solarpunk #sustainability

@harce @bmispelon Your selection depends on whether you have a university degree (requirement in NITO and Tekna, not in EL go IT), and whether you work for the private or public sector (I blanked on the public sector union name sorry). I've recently spent 35 days without a working stove top and I gotta share this. Fixing it required time and effort from five (!) companies, each responsible for a different subsystem in the apartment:

  • the rental company,
  • the stove top producer (Ikea and Electrolux),
  • the company who built the building (Skanska),
  • the stove watch (komfyrvakt) producer (mkomfy),
  • and an independent electrician.

Each of them (except the electrician, bless his soul) focused not on helping me fix the stovetop, but on proving that it’s not their part that’s broken. In the end, the fault was a loose cable that disconnected the stovetop from the electrical socket.

I did not expect to experience peak enterprise IT when my stove stopped working. It took 35 days to find and reattach a loose cable. 🤦🏻‍♀️

@matt in the book “Dette er nordmenn” the guy who runs the immigrant meme page on instagram told a story of applying for a job in Godt Brød bakery only to learn they only hire pretty young women. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We bought our house in 2019 and stopped mowing the #lawn, to the exasperation of our neighbors (ok, the first 2 yrs didn’t look so good 😂). But now we are reaping off rewards, our lawns rewilding and getting lots of flowers like forget-me-nots, wild strawberries, lady’s mantle, columbine, and even raspberry bushes. ❤️The ground holds water much better: while our neighbors’ grass is slowly yellowing due to a watering ban, ours is holding quite well. I highly recommend to re-wild your lawns!

“Groped” is not the best word - the guy literally picked up a large piece of trash from the sidewalk, pulled my dress, and put the trash inside of it. I want to fucking nuke the city from orbit, I’m that mad.

Really looking forward to the day when #Norway bans #SUV traffic in cities and sales of SUVs to the general public. SUVs are a mostly unnecessary, luxurious, planet-destroying commodity, and a waste of precious resources. Like private jets, mega mansions, or farmed fur coats, they belong in the past. #ClimateCrisis
