Habe ähnliche Dokumente in anderen Bundesländern noch nicht entdeckt (aber auch noch nicht ernsthaft gesucht). So oder so vielleicht eine Orientierung für alle, die digital für den öffentlichen Sektor arbeiten wollen, aber angesichts der vielen zu erfüllenden Aspekte der EN 301 549 geplättet sind, und nicht wissen, wo sie anfangen sollen.

Und nicht nur für den öffentlichen Sektor (und ihre Zuliefernden) interessant – die Europäische Norm 301 549 wird ja auch für das #BFSG (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz) interessant.

Bedeutet 'aufgeregt' 'excited'?

Also, mit positiv oder negativ Bedeutung?

In English 'excited' usually means a positive thing - like, happy-excited.

I find the German 'aufgeregt' and 'gespannt' confusing - they're sort of neutral, or are they? Do I have to qualify in a sentence whether I'm happy or stressed-out/unhappy when using them, or is it all contextual?

@sarajw It's very much depending on the context. The word stem "aufregen" could also mean "making me angry/upset", so it can be applied even in a negative light

Die Untertitel-Anpassungen (Schriftart, -größe, -farbe, usw.) werden in Google Chrome übernommen, aber nicht in Microsofts eigenem Browser (Edge, ja auch Chromium)?

In Edge unter Mac OS scheint es zu gehen. Firefox scheint auf beiden Systemen nicht beeindruckt von Betriebssystem-Einstellungen zu sein. Chrome geht bei beiden, Safari reagiert erwartbar auf Mac OS-Einstellungen.

I love waiting for stuff that is already loaded.

Safari on the left super responsive, zero delay. Safari Technology Preview on the right, it takes like half a second until the text is in place.

Of course, the transitions also don’t support reduced motion settings, so they are a great additional way to make your users feel sick. There are no website settings to turn them off.

Video is split screen, klicking on content on the left reveals it without delay. On the right, an animation is triggered that takes about half a second. You just need to wait until the animation is settled to interact with it. And it is a full-page animation, so easily a vestibular trigger.

@yatil Other than that, I second Eric's second comment. Browser vendors, please don't add another feature to cause avoidable harm because of fancyness and "move fast and break things" attitudes

@yatil At least prefer reduced motion, built-in and without explicit need to handle it (because, as you rightly say, no one cares), would prevent the worst and serve as an off-switch

Just learned at the IAAP EU Event in Paris: EU member Finland extended their law based on the Web Accessibilily Directive (Public Sector, at least) to banks, most likely already in 2016.

So while the rest of the EU has to catch up under #EuropeanAccessibilityAct – which will also affect banking – Finnish banking web sites may be worth a look right now
