Apparently the main reason to join the EV club in our area (per a longtime acquaintance of mine) is "hanging around and drinking beer and eating tacos" at their meetings. 🤔
i have lost count of how many times a week i wish i had brought my copy of "joy of cooking" with me to japan 😢 i never bought a new copy because there aren't cheap ones at used book stores to be had—with someone's handwritten comments / notes in the margins!—and i do NOT want a digital copy 😔
@dandelionwine@scoutie I’ve made same mistake. I can’t do cookbooks in e-format. Especially ones with graphics like that.
We sold a bunch of our cookbooks and try to keep it to our top 10 that we like. Beyond that they almost never get used.
So I was reading the Hello Kitty Wiki, as one does, and TIL that there are multiple Sanrio universes, so My Medody and Kurumi are from a completely different universe than Hello Kitty or Tuxedo Sam 🤯
Well, I guess years of camping and being sent here and there to make teaching presentations will yield this result. Well traveled, but have always lived in the same area of Nagoya my entire adult life. (Thanks to @tokyohomo for posting this link. https://zhung.com.tw/japanex/)
@softicecreamlesley@tokyohomo 116. Mine were 95% factory and office visits. Not like really seeing things sadly. Although I had a lot of good station food.
Interesting, the alcohol content in the hard cider served at La Crêperie de Paris at Epcot is only 3%. Going to brew up a batch of some kind of hard cider here today, probably, and all the recipes seem to be double that. #alcohol#brewing#homebrew
@ai6yr this is literally happening because an Anime from late 70s called “Rascal the Raccoon” got people importing and keeping them as pets. #invasivespecies
@FlockOfCats@Strombo I got my teen correctly cleaning our Lodge cast iron. That said I don’t let them touch my Le Crueset Dutch oven. I do that one. Can’t afford to replace it.
