My spouse just tested positive for Covid, so I probably will soon as well.

We barely leave the house because of my chronic health issues, and when we have to (grocery, pharmacy, vet) we always wear N95 masks.

I fucking hate our society and how governments & people decided to ignore this pandemic. I was able to avoid getting infected for 3 years. Now I just need to pray I don't get complications on top of my current health issues.

Slightly freaking out and need some help:

I decided life is too short and bought a Steam Deck. First tests were promising, played a couple of indie games and everything worked perfect as both handheld and dock mode with mouse+keyboard.

Not Skyrim though…It’s fine as handheld but it won’t recognize mouse+key when docked??? Can anyone help me fix this??? Otherwise I’m going to regret going into debt for this😰

Apparently, even though I've been on sick leave for almost 4 years because of a #ChronicIllness and also got Asthma, I'm still not eligible to receive Paxlovid.

Been told to take tylenol and to ''tough it out''.

Hopefully I won't get much worse and won't need to go to the hospital. Also hope I don't get #LongCovid on top of my #MECFS because that would be absolutely devastating.

I fucking hate our ''covid is over'' society and the healthcare system.

Just started watching Delicious Dungeon, even though I normally don't like anime, since the premise sounds really fun.

So far it's alright, but, just like every single other anime, the female character is unbearable. I swear to god every women in animes spend the whole time yelling & arguing in childish manners. It's just weird and annoying.

Quick question for people who make/watch anime: why do you hate women? Have you never interacted with them? is that just how you see them?

While searching online how normal it is for cats to have an increased thirst after being sedated (Moogly has been drinking water a lot since he’s been back home) I found out that in 1-2% of cases cats who go under anaesthesia for surgery develop kidney disease two weeks later; our Kiki started having kidney issues two weeks after her dental surgery…this explains it…now I feel responsible since I went along with the surgery even though it was only preventative😥 #Cat #Cats #CatsOfMastodon

Gamers are just like wine snobs.

I've seen so many people say that they can't play games that are 30 FPS, and even that 60 FPS is trash; it seems that it needs to be above 90 for gamers to be content.

Only problem with that is that the human eye only perceives up to 60 FPS. (very limited studies speculating that 75 might be the peak but that's still debatable)

Anything above 60, your eyes can't even see the difference. We see movement as ''smooth'' when above 20; movies are between 24 & 30.

All I want is an RPG where you run an apothecary where you sell herbs you grow in your garden & find in the wild, crystals you gather in streams & caves, and potions, balms, etc. that you make. The townsfolk are either anthropomorphic animals, or magical creatures (vampires, werewolves, witches, trolls, faes, etc.); both those options sound perfect to me. The whole thing with character+house customization.

Is that too much to ask for?🥺
