Oh this sounds like will become a real browser for me soon. I wish they were ready already for the thing. But I guess it's good to know they're on it.

I hope the dev tools will get better soon too, as I need to replace Chrome as a work browser. For private browsing I already use Safari.

@Sirs0ri I use these pretty heavily and this was one of the reasons I switched back when I tried Firefox again a few months ago.

In terms of dev tools I have to sit before them I guess. I just couldn't work with it properly as things were missing I needed. Maybe things have changed here too.

@royalrex @Sirs0ri I wouldn't be too surprised if it mainly a habit thing. And some thing are probably there but with another name oder on a weird place.

For example: I have no idea how to open this search panel to for example quickly disable JavaScript temporarily (or do a myriad of other things). And search engines aren’t really helpful these days.

I know there's a setting in the general crowded setting section. But that's pretty slow every time. ^^"

@royalrex @Sirs0ri That's one of my problems with Firefox. You need AddOns for so many things that should be standard. But because the market share is so low they're barely maintained. 😅

Als die Glühbirne abgeschafft wurde, ging das Licht nicht aus. Als der Plastikstrohhalm abgeschafft wurde, ging die Welt nicht unter. Als Raucher vor die Gaststätte mussten, sind die Gäste trotzdem geblieben. Wenn der Verbrenner endlich Geschichte ist, wird die Luft viel besser riechen und ein weiteres mal bewiesen worden sein, dass konservative Panikmache nur heiße Luft ist.

Das war zur Einführung des Verbots ein kurzes Problem, welches fast sofort behoben wurde.

I really have to say that the new game was by far the most exciting thing for me at the PlayStation State of Play.

Some of the other games were nice. But it's always more of the same super serious and/or dark stuff.

Astro Bot just looks fun. As if Sony listened to the fans of Astro's Playroom and thought »Yeah, you're right. This SHOULD be a full game«.

Funfact: For some reason I got a search engine selection in Chrome (Have to use it for work currently) and switched to Bing, as I use Bing privately for years. (Mainly because of Bing rewards but the results are often good enough or better so I could avoid Google here)

It's surprising how well this works these days in a #WebDev context. Back then it was absolutely terrible but now the results are quite good.

And as a senior I also am comfortable to read the quick Copilot summary and see if it's bullshit or not.

Still wouldn't anyone with less than five years experience to use Copilot or ChatGPT for anything work related though. Too many small errors and inefficient solutions.

@jensimmons Containers. Not Container Queries, they're easy. But all the side effects of containers that make seemingly no sense.

Like messing up z-index. Messing up positioning and stuff I'm not aware of yet as it wasn't a bug ticket already.

Containers were supposed to make things easier but they're barely usable without teleporting stuff around with JavaScript.

@mb21 @jensimmons For example. Fixed elements can't really escape. What's a bit weird as fixed was always the solution to escape from everything. ^^"

I guess this is a bit less of a problem as we have dialog these days that counter that. But not every legacy app has the option to convert all modals from fixed positioning to dialog.

It's just a weird side effect that doesn't really makes sense for me.
