I get that GRRM and what's his face have burned readers with series that don't finish, but it bums me out so many readers seem to be "I'll start reading when the series is complete.”

I get it, but that's a sure fire way to ensure a series doesn't get completed. Trad publishers will kill a series if it’s not "performing” in a heartbeat. Even with indie publishing, a lot of authors give a series 2-3 books and kill it if it's not selling.

Readers, take a chance!

I really do wonder what the breakdown of iPad Pro users is. How many buy one just to or mostly play games?
How many are doing movie production?
How many want something that's laptop power, but more portable?

No you aren’t. The problem isn't TikTok

The problem is tech companies feeling like they have exclusive, inalienable right to every scrap of data about their users, including tracking us across platforms. Tracking what we like, who we communicate with, etc. and then doing what they like with it, including selling it to other tech companies.

We need user privacy and data protection across the board!

I like that NPR is simply not giving air to liars and charlatans from the right. I listen to NPR from 8 to 11-12 and they for sure let right leaning voices on the air. Sometimes to my annoyance. What they don't do is let MAGA folks on to spew lies and misinformation.

I think “liberal leaning" has been used where “Truth and unbiased reporting" is a better phrase.

I think Berliner lost sight of what journalism is about. Shocker he's old, white, male..

Billy not only got caught out running his wonka scam, he also got called out for throwing 16 AI generated drech up on Amazon (2 of which are still up).

I know it's part of humanity that certain folks always look for the easy way to success, but still sucks. I doubt Billy truly learned any lessons.

What a shit analogy. The VCR wasn't built using stolen parts of movie projectors or OTA antennas. Kinda bummed to see EFF taking that position.

Much of OpenAI's training sets are unlicensed copy written material.

Solution: Pay a licensing fee, Make inclusion in training sets Opt-in (not out).
