Oh fantastic. Someone assigned a CVE to an invalid bug report. Of course it's rated "critical".

Now I have to file for a rejection again, while thousands of "vulnerability report sites" copy each others bad summary of the CVE text making it worse with every copy.

The whole CVE system and the "security research industry" at large is a steaming pile of 💩

Ever thought about contributing to DokuWiki but didn't know where to start?

We have a few issues labeled as "good first issue". These are usually clearly defined features and enhancements that do not require too much knowledge about DokuWiki's internals as a whole. Some even have difficult ratings (from easy to complex).

Tiny rant, I really don't see why we do RCs at this point.

I introduced a bug in http_build_query() in January while doing some refactoring. It only got found 2h after tagging PHP 8.3.0. Probably as the user attempted to use 8.3.0 on their code base.

The fix is trivial, but it will only land in 8.3.1, which in theory should be in one month, but usually due to Xmas is delayed to January.

So yeah, what is the point of us having a 6 months alpha/beta/RC phase if nobody tries them.

Myron Turner aka turnermm announced his "retirement" from DokuWiki development today.

Myron, who turned 88 earlier this year, has been an important part of the DokuWiki eco system for nearly two decades. He wrote dozens of plugins and countless forum and mailinglist posts. His CKGEdit WYSIWYG plugin, is one of the most popular plugins ever.

His input and contributions will be missed. I wish him all the best for his "retirement".
