@stsquad@dick_turpin It looks plausible; it's fairly high output, and a nice charge display/power measure - and you can see where the smoke is coming from.
(Good luck on an EMC test)
Fuck me! David Cameron is running around telling everyone how the UK is beefing up its defences and strengthening ties we have with our allies, and now we are being warned to keep three days of supplies somewhere safe, just in case!
There's definitely something they're not telling us.
Are the Tories taking a leaf out of Maggie's playbook, Falklands.yml, and looking to start a small war to win the next election?
@dick_turpin You say poor performance, but they don't care - they're happy to keep throwing bodies at it; and they're physically large so it's difficult to do anything too damaging to Russia itself.
TFFT!
The children finally have milk. Plus 300 cans of Tango and a case of Red Bull. I've nabbed a couple of cans of Red Bull before this lot guzzles everything.
@dick_turpin Lets face it, if they weren't concrete they'd get stolen. Or chopped down or....And I think that does include the seats.
Now I want to find one and play Draughts at it.
There are no surprises as far as I'm concerned. I was fully expecting to see lots of Labour gains. Clearly, the examples of a Labour Council, Birmingham, and Nottingham mean nothing to the electorate.
The Conservatives need to plan for 2030 now because 2025 looks like a forgone conclusion unless something dramatic happens between now and January. #politics
@penguin42 Mmm? Obviously, nobody is going to say: "We're gonna lose!" but I would hope the conference is billed as "Prepare to rebuild."
At the moment, the Tories have a majority, so there can't be a vote of no confidence, and there's no way to force the Conservatives to hold an early election. If anything, Labour needs to trick them into calling it early, maybe giving them a glimmer of hope. The only problem with that ploy is that it might backfire, and the Tories might win. Who knows? 🤷♂️
You've gotta love this Labour idea of renationalising the railways. Sounds good, doesn't it? Except, they won't own the tracks as they belong to Network Rail. They won't own the rolling stock; they'll need to be leased. So they'll only own the right to sell tickets. 🤦♂️
@dick_turpin They could get rid of some of the leasing; with the operating companies at the moment having short contracts, it doesn't make sense for them to buy trains; if the operating companies were nationalised it wouldn't be needed.
@penguin42 LOL
I can't make up my mind whether to swap them out tonight or bring the Pi to work tomorrow and do it here. I do have a fire extinguisher outside my office. 🤣
As per Martin Lewis's advice, I've filled out his claim form to see if I'm entitled to any compensation for cars I've bought on loans.
Clearly, Black Horse (Lloyds Bank) has everyone on a monthly notification list. Each month, I get the quasi-phone response: "We are experiencing high volumes, and as soon as Sarah has come back off holiday, she might get back to you, but in the meantime, please continue to hold until you get bored."
@dick_turpin If they don't respond after a while ask them to file an official complaint; and if they hum and har about it, be insistent. If you're lucky you'll get some money out of them just on that.
