A weekend spent exploring Amsterdam. The vibes of the city, the Lights Festival and having read The Diary of Anne Frank as a kid, seeing the house and museum was a deeply emotional experience.

Part of the Amsterdam Lights Festival 2023, which is a sculpture with two sets of parallel metal rings, connected by illuminated strings and decorated with large square neon receptors within the centre of each ring. The sculpture is set next to the canal, which is lined with trees and rows of houses and a slightly darkened, grey sky.
At the Anne Frank Museum, an excerpt from her diary in Dutch, which when translated to English on the bottom reads, "I go to the attic almost every morning to get the stale air out of my lungs. This morning when I went there, Peter was busy cleaning up. The two of us looked out at the blue sky, the bare chestnut tree glistening with dew, the seagulls and other birds glinting with silver as they swooped through the air" 23 February 1944 To the right of the excerpt is the actual ladder to the attic within the Annex where Anne Frank and her family were in hiding during World War 2.

Phew! My appointment went great today, an excellent specialist doctor. Wonderful consult. I’m very happy with my overall healthcare here, it’s just night and day. ❤️

New diagnosis acquired.
New medication acquired. (Am nervous)

I’ll have monthly bloodwork and regular follow ups.

I’m feeling so grateful, even despite the car stress stuff that needs to be resolved. 🤩🙌
