Did you know that when you view a toot that originated on another server, you don't see all of the toots replies?

You will only see replies that would have, basically, shown up in your federated timeline (posted by someone whom someone on your server follows).

I created a PR on Sep 13 to address this and display an information message that allows you to easily click through to the original server to see all of the replies, much like with profiles etc.

@RyunoKi Just read the article. I think there's a difference between a single maintainer managing a dozen open source projects, and Mastodon gGmbh which is funded and actually employs people to look at these issues.

@joy @dmnelson Okay okay, it wasn't an outage. They just installed Comcast in one of the empty apartments. Comcast refuses to drop a new line from the telephone pole (we've been asking for years) and when they installed the new line, they just split it at the top and gave "50%" to the new unit and the rest to the rest of the building. The single line is now split 8 ways. I went outside to the box and put our line in the place of the new line and poof, we have internet again!

When I switched from a blog to a digital garden, I thought it would be easier to just write small snippets and insights, without having to worry about having to write an entire "post".

The problem I'm having now is that I can't think of anywhere in my graph to stick the new nodes. Like where does this link from? I have no idea! So I end up not writing it.
