    Can anyone recommend a #postgresql book? Audience is a small business owner with software development experience who will be managing his own instance for a web app until there’s enough revenue to hire someone to help with that. On version 14 if that matters

    @jrefior The PostgreSQL Website has a list of books, most of them are good, but target different audiences. Not enough information in your post what exactly you need the database for.

    The "AI" recommendations for what I meant to search for, and how it "helpfully" extracts the answer from web pages, are incredibly less useful than actually just doing a full text search for, like, my search string?

    How thinks this is progress? Why?

    Is there something to be gained by Google by intentionally making their search results worse?

    I don't understand. They're smart enough, so I'm guessing they have a reason? I can't even imagine a malicious one?

    Die AfD hat in Umfragen in Bayern die Freien Wähler überholt und ist nun die zweitstärkste Kraft in Bayern. Die CSUKoalition verliert den langjährigen Abwärtstrend fortsetzend deutlich zu 2013.
    Am Ende von Söders und Aiwangers Fischen am rechten Rand haben alle bis auf die AfD verloren: die Demokratie, Bayern und die CSU

    Andere Städte haben eine Website, wo man ganz einfach irgendwelches Kaputtes an die Verwaltung melden kann.

    Berlin hat berlin.de, wenn man da nach Schadensmeldung oder ähnlichem sucht, kriegt man nur eine Seite für Autobahnschäden. Nein, ich bin nicht der Postillon.

    @isotopp Erinnert mich so ein bisschen an meine Zeit in Kuwait: wenn wir dort nach der Arbeit vom Büro zurück ins Hotel gegangen sind, hat uns jeder schief angeschaut.
