@adam Good point on clarifying beliefs and reassurances.
Regarding opportunities to clarify, I think they should be given some more time to process the events, the underlying cause and their thoughts. When events like this unfold publicly, there is a tendency to shut down and crawl into a shell. I hope the right lessons are learnt from this. Time will tell.
@adam Chimecho has always been a favorite of mine and this artwork is just beautiful! I especially love the narrow depth of field and the contrast of a bright sunny day looking out from shade of the engawa.
A tale as old as time: an influential man wants something from a woman. He asks for it, she says no, and then he takes it anyway.
There’s only one valid take on this: it’s wrong, full stop. There’s nothing else to say.
If you attempt to defend this, to explain it away, to point to technical details that suggest some level of nuance that might make it seem OK after all—why? Why is it so hard to acknowledge when a woman has been disrespected and someone has made a deeply unethical choice?
@adam Happy Birthday!
I’m picturing it’s the trainer’s birthday for this card, and Pikachu is doing the surprising. 😄 Pikachu pulling out all the stops for their trainer! 💖
