That’s been the overwhelming response each time I’ve seen it brought up. I want to help put little Lemmy symbols or something, but I haven’t seen one forming when I’ve had a chance to check
My input for anyone on board for this is to start with the Lemmy logo. Put it everywhere, subtle and varied like the among us characters had been done before. Then, quickly, put one bold one and focus on getting the word Lemmy next to it. If the moderators don’t immediately squash that, go on to the other words you have laid out here.
Alternatively, put the smallest readable size of the word Lemmy.com all over Place.
This is why I can’t enjoy most new games, especially since I am exclusively on smartphone games with limited time and no interest in paying for anything. All the multiplayer mobile games set up this scenario to push you to buy power ups to get that guy back who just wiped you off the map with a $5 item. Nah, I’ll just uninstall at that point.
“Unfortunately that formula can be easily replicated so really it was just a matter of time before similar alternatives popped up.”
I disagree on the unfortunate part. I think it’s good that alternatives are easy to make. That means I don’t have to put up with the shenanigans to have the type of forum I’ve enjoyed.
Me personally? I’ve become much less tolerant of sexist humor. Back in the day, cracking a joke at women’s expense was pretty common when I was a teen. As you plan on messing with her feed, I’d like to warn you that a sudden change in her recommendations could seem to her like the whole internet got censored and she can’t see the truth anymore. She would be cut off from a sense of community and a sense of having special inside knowledge, and that may make things worse rather than better.
My non-proffessional prediction is that she would get bored with nothing to worry about and start actively seeking out bad news to worry over.
I agree that cult mindset or psychosis is what she has going on. But suddenly removing the source from her computer without her knowledge could backfire because she’s already so invested.
They have a new identity that they keep reinforcing with every new decision. They’ve lost their previous identity and become just another web service looking to get the most money possible out of the users they can still attract.
Yeah. This is a nice idea to deal with the problem, but why are they perpetuating the problem? Why continue to use bar soaps that constantly need to be collected? Do customers throw a fit if they have liquid soap?
