Several people attempted to play "internet sleuth", and have suggested the young blonde girl who threw the milkshake over Farage was Emily Hewertson.
Speculation was that it may have actually been staged, as she's the girlfriend of Reform's press officer.

Even the Daily Mail got in touch with her to ask if she did it.

This has however been debunked.
Not only has Hewertson denied it, but she was in Wolverhampton at the time.

BREAKING: Nigel Farage has backtracked, and announced he will be standing at the election for Reform.
He will also be assuming the leadership of his business/pseudo political party.

Farage has picked Clacton as the constituency he intends to soil with his presence.

Why Clacton? It was the constituency of Douglas Carswell. Who was returned twice as an MP for UKIP.

So if he can find a bunch of racists, and people gullible enough to buy his snake oil anywhere, Clacton is perhaps his best shot.

Laurence Fox was involved in a traffic accident with a bus.

He livestreamed the aftermath when the bus driver was on the phone reporting what happened. The silver Audi A4 he was in appears to have been in the bus and cycle lanes.

Fox sounded drunk. But even worse, people checked the registration number on the Audi he was in. And the MOT was 6 weeks out of date.

Meaning that he's not only facing a fine of up to £1,000 and 6 points. But his insurance is automatically void.

Happy Pride Month.

Labour have selected a corporate lobbyist, and former adviser to Keir Starmer named Chris Ward to stand in Brighton Kempton.

Ward works for a lobbying firm called Hanbury, which was set up by two Tories. One was the former PR lead for Vote Leave, Paul Stephenson. The other is former adviser to David Cameron, Ameet Gill.
He heads up what Hanbury calls their 'Labour Unit'. Which is designed to help companies navigate how to deal with the incoming Starmer government.

Mish Rahman, who is on Labour's NEC and an outspoken critic of the way Diane Abbott has been treated by the party, sent an absolutely top response to GBeebies when they asked him to appear on Nigel Farage's show.

I've made a point of not watching Question Time this evening.

When you have two Tories, Nigel Farage, and Piers Moron, there isn't much point.

However, Fiona Bruce addressed the fact that Farage's appearance raised a lot of complaints over the fact he isn't even standing, and asked why he was fronting Reform's campaign?

Farage said "Don't ask me. You're the ones who invited me on".

At which point Bruce said, "We actually asked for Lee Anderson, but he wouldn't come on."

Oops.

Since Carl Benjamin is back in the news, let me give a little more detail of what kind of a despicable excuse for a human being he is, beyond the joking about whether or not he would rape the Labour MP Jess Philips.

  • He thinks the private sector can do no wrong and businesses should be allowed to discriminate against whoever they like.
At least that was true until Twitter banned him for hate speech, and Patreon kicked him off for the same reason when he was making $12,000 per month.

Lloyd Russell-Moyle, the MP for Brighton, Kemptown & Peacehaven has received an "administrative suspension letter".
The complaint was made anonymously, and made complaints about his behaviour eight years ago.

Due to the length of time it takes to investigate complaints by Labour, he has been informed that he will not be allowed to stand at the election.

He has stated that he intends to cooperate with the investigation to clear his name.

Nigel Farage is set to make his 36th appearance on Question Time since the year 2000.

This time he's there to represent Reform UK. Reform are a business and pseudo-political party that he happens to own a 53% stake in.

It should be remembered that Farage is not standing.
Also to use the BBC's justification of selecting panelists based on previous election results, Reform have had zero electoral success. They only managed two council seats across the whole of England earlier this month.

Keir Starmer is now claiming that Diane Abbott has not been barred from standing as a Labour candidate.

Now this means that either his sources who spoke to The Times, and Diane Abbott herself were lying, or he was.

Given the fact he insisted on Friday that the investigation into Abbott was "independent and still ongoing", and that turned out to be completely false, I'll go out on a limb and say that this is a case of Keir Starmer lying yet again, and trying to engage in damage control.

Compare and contrast.

Neil Coyle had complaints upheld against him that he racially abused a journalist, and sexually harassed a member of his staff.
He apologised, and blamed it on alcoholism.
He was suspended for 14 months, but had the whip restored and is standing for Labour again.

Diane Abbott apologised immediately for a poorly thought out letter on racism she sent to The Observer.
She was suspended for 13 months, and did as the NEC asked of her.
But is barred from standing for Labour.

Iain Dale has quit his job at LBC, as he hopes to be selected as a Tory candidate for the general election.

Dale is hoping to be selected as the candidate for Tunbridge Wells.
He had previously failed at the 2005 election when he stood in Norfolk North.

I do hope he gets the nod, and that the group Led By Donkeys stick up billboards around Tunbridge Wells of him assaulting a protester in 2013.
Which he admitted, and received a police caution for.

BREAKING: Diane Abbott has had the whip restored by the Labour Party.
However according to The Times, she has been banned from standing for them at the General Election.

Senior aides to Keir Starmer reportedly held discussions about restoring the whip before the election, to "allow her to leave politics with dignity".

I would say that it is Starmer lacking any dignity at this point.
I sincerely hope that Diane Abbott announces soon that she'll stand as an independent.

Victoria Derbyshire has revealed this morning that Labour's investigation into Diane Abbott's comments to The Observer on Jewish, Irish & Travellers, concluded 5 months ago.

She apologised at the time and withdrew her remarks, but had the whip withdrawn.

The NEC wrote to her in December 2013 informing her that they had concluded their eight month long inquiry into her comments.

Lucy Allan has had the whip withdrawn from the Tories, after she started openly supporting Reform candidate Alan Adams in the Telford constituency.

Lucy Allan is the outgoing MP for Telford, having opted not to stand at the upcoming election.

Amazing that none of her previous actions warranted expulsion from the Tory Party.
Lucy Allan was recorded bullying a member of her constituency office staff who had been signed off for depression, to try and force her back to work early.

Anas Sarwar is misleading when he said that he waived his right to receive money upon becoming an MSP.
When he was an MP company records showed that between 2013 and 2015, he was paid £333,000. His wife meanwhile received £196,000. She still receives dividends to this day.

Usdaw only recently started to get involved as well. As United Wholesale previously would not recognise trade unions.

Rachel Johnson spoke in favour of the Tory idea of reintroducing National Service. She tried to invoke the spirit of everyone doing what was right for the nation during the pandemic.

Just a reminder. She like her brother and father, breached lockdown rules for her own selfish interests.
In her case, she traveled to her second home to play tennis.

She also said the quiet part out loud though, about this being to get unpaid labour. As she thinks it should include forcing people to pick fruit.

There is something quite sick about a generation that took every opportunity away from young people, now telling them to either enlist in the military or do unpaid work for a country that clearly hates them.

How about bringing back well paid and secure jobs?
Final salary pensions? Or at least a pension you can live to see and live a decent retirement on?
Union rights?
Affordable housing to buy, and decent social housing to rent?
Affordable rail travel?
NHS dental care?

Just a thought.

Jesus Christ. I thought this was a joke from NewsThump or Private Eye.

But no. Rishi Sunak really is pledging to bring back compulsory National Service.
18 year olds would be given the choice to join the military full-time, doing community service one weekend every month with the police, NHS, or fire brigade.

I always find it funny when I hear people in their 50s and 60s bang on about bringing back National Service. Because none of them ever did it either.
It was abolished in 1960.

Labour are reportedly looking for a new anthem to replace 'Things Can Only Get Better' as the theme for Keir Starmer's campaign.

So I thought I could suggest a few.
Liar - Henry Rollins
I Lie, I Cheat, I Steal - Eddie Guerrero's WWE theme
Asshole - Denis Leary
Creep - Radiohead
I'm A Cunt - from the TV show Mongrels
Hate Everything About You - Ugly Kid Joe

With all the Tory MPs declaring that they're stepping down, one backbencher unfortunately is staying. And very likely to win, despite potentially being the most loathsome MP on the Tory benches.

Christopher Chope has blocked bills in Parliament on ratifying the Standards Committee's judgement against greedy lobbying shit Owen Paterson, criminalising upskirting, tackling female genital mutilation, a pardon of Alan Turing, oversight on use of force in mental health units...,

More than 75 current Tory MPs are standing down at the General Election.

Some of which are understandable, as they're retiring due to age. So this would include the likes of Theresa May, Bill Cash, and candidate for the dumbest MP in the Commons, John Redwood.

Others appear to be getting out to avoid embarrassment of losing their seats, or are set to flee to a directorship somewhere.

Diane Abbott will not find out the outcome of the Labour Party inquiry into her conduct until the 4th of June.
Which is the last day for candidates to be declared for the election.

She might be safer announcing that she'll stand as an independent. As she's more than likely to win in Hackney either way.

I have no doubt that Labour would likely reinstate her, as Blair did Ken Livingston after he stood as an independent for the first London Mayoral election and won.

A fine start by both branches of the Tories to their General Election campaigns.

Rishi Sunak asked a group at a media event if they were looking forward to the football this summer.
Which was met with awkward silence, as it was in Wales.

Keir Starmer meanwhile launched his manifesto in Kent, as he wants to focus on the right-wing talking point of small boats.
Of the two Kent based Labour MPs, only Natalie Elphicke was invited to the launch.
Rosie Duffield was snubbed.

Was this Tory over TERF?
