@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games

Hi there, my name is Andy, I'm from Belgium.
I spend most of my free time digitising and restoring classic video game magazines, mostly from the UK.
I've been doing this for nearly 20 years now and I'm here to share my passion for these magazines with others.
I love to read and talk about gaming memories from years gone by.

My main hobbies are gaming, both modern and retro gaming, as well as Japanese, South Korean and classic Hong Kong cinema.

@Bigblue1106
Ah, I don't remember that one.

I did have the one on Super Nintendo though.
And I remember playing the arcade beat em up back in the day, which was super fun.
Such a shame it never got a home port.

As a big Monster Hunter fan, I was quite disappointed with the new trailer at State of Play.
It really felt off to me, not just from a gameplay standpoint as there was very little shown, and what was just looked weird.
But also from the world itself, which looks incredible drab. Tons of browns and greys...

But watching the new Gaijin Hunter video with a lot more context makes me feel a lot better about it now.

@jens

Haha, that sounds incredible!
It's such a shame that nowadays when they try to create asymmetric multiplayer games, they mostly seem to end up being really disappointing on just a mess.

While it's not quite the start of the weekend yet, I've lost way to much time by being sick these past couple of weeks, so I wanted to get a head start this time.

So what better way to do this than with a new magazine release.

GamesMaster 79 - March 1999 (UK) has just been added to the magazine catalogue.

OMG. I just started watching the first episode of Tokyo Vice and out of nowhere they start blasting 20Hz by Capricorn!

They are already speaking my kind of language! :ablobcatheadphones:

Somehow my mind is having a ridiculously hard time making sense of the fact that the PS3 is nearly 20 years old. 💀
NES? Sure!
Sega Saturn? No problem!
I can easily and gladly place them in their own time zone.
But 20 years for the PS3. Yeah, this one kinda breaks me. 😱

Well, Retronauts made a decree that everything older than 10 years is retro, so in just under 3 years, we'll be able to slap a "retro" label on it. 👀

@UncannyKyle
Ah man, that really sucks.
It's one of those things that really worries me with all the old consoles that I have and still play.

Been very lucky so far, although I lost a Dreamcast due to a faulty laser, but I was able to get a replacement part at least.
