It's been over a year since this last happened, but I'm getting the notification again when I try to post more than 4 articles in quick succession, that my account is rate limited and I need to wait a couple of minutes.
I know this is to help fight spam, but it's kind of annoying anyway, especially on days where I don't have much time to post these...
Review for the Japanese version of Doshin the Giant on GameCube from Cube 8 - August 2002 (UK)
While this is not a game for everyone as at times it can barely feel like a game, this remains one of my fondest memories on the GameCube for me. Love Doshin. 🥰
@OutofPrintArchive Wish to god I had the reflexes for this game. I love the vibe, feel and tension but I spend 60% of each race grinding along the walls
@HangFireBooks
I got pretty good at the game back in the day. But yeah, it’s a bit too brutal for me.
I never was able to unlock the AX tracks as one of those last challenges was just too hard for me.
It’s brilliant, but I kinda prefer X if I’m honest.
The original remains my favourite though.
Preview for 1080° Avalanche on GameCube when it was still known as "White Storm", which refers to Wave Race Blue Storm.
Taken from Cube 8 - August 2002 (UK)
Feeling a little bit better today after two days of pure hell.
Had a good night sleep for once, so I'm very thankful for that.
Still some pain shooting out of my left side, so I know I'm not out of the woods yet and some more might be waiting for me. But at least I have a bit of a pause now.
Getting a new CT scan on Thursday, this time with injected contrast fluids to see things better, so I should know a bit more on Friday.
Feature on the gorgeous JVC WonderMega from from Sega Force 5 - May 1992 (UK)
I nearly have all consoles that I want, but this is one of the very few that I wish I had...
The monthly USA Here 'N' Now feature from from Sega Force 5 - May 1992 (UK)
I have to say that for some reason, I look forward to the new pictures from the moustached man every single issue. I don't know why, but he always cracks me up. I love this man. 😅
@OutofPrintArchive Somewhere I have that Asterix game for the Gameboy Advance, where the game is 3D and looks like it could've been a PlayStation title.
Can't remember what it's called or where I put it, but I love this series.
I did have the one on Super Nintendo though.
And I remember playing the arcade beat em up back in the day, which was super fun.
Such a shame it never got a home port.
