A policy on use of Generative AI has been accepted by the Minecraft Wiki community.

With development of new tools and technology, wikis have to keep up and evaluate risks and effects of those on the wiki and their communities. This policy is a result of exactly those evaluations.

Mojang will be adding 20 new paintings to #Minecraft in the upcoming "Tricky Trials" update, bringing the total to a whopping 46 motifs!

Five are by Sarah Boeving and can already be seen in previews for Bedrock Edition. The other 15 are from the artist who made the original paintings, Kristoffer Zetterstrand!

Game theorists, start placing your bets on which features of this April Fools snapshot may eventually make it into an actual game experience (in some shape or form, preferably with potato parts peeled off).

April Fools snapshots were always a great testbed for future additions to #Minecraft and allow developers to experiment with wild and rough ideas in safe environment while quietly observing player feedback.

It's not uncommon that when playing #Minecraft we need an answer to a quick question requiring use of math, knowledge of the arcane magic or both.

Our wiki team continues to work on small tools to help you answer those questions. We've recently added a mace damage calculator which you can use to calculate damage based on height from which you fall or vice versa.

@zperk13 Hello Zahary! You should be able to use any color, our tool uses standardized HTML Color Picker (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/Input/color), how it looks and what it allows you to do may depend on your operating system or browser, look for some place where you can pick a custom color.

I've attached the screenshot how this looks like for myself, though it will likely look differently for you.

Today's snapshot 24w10a brings eight new wolf variants to the game, which spawn in different biomes! The previous white wolf can still be found in taiga biomes though.

A few impressions of the new UI background, both when ingame and when accessing it from the main menu!

Resource packs screen when accessed while ingame. The background is a blurred and darkened version of what's seen ingame instead of the old dirt background.

@brawaru Hey! Yes, we've seen this requested a few times already and we are tracking this request. However as things sometimes tend to be, it's more difficult than just adding a CSS rule and would cause complications with our current system for themes.

All that said, it's certainly something we'll be continuing to look at in the future.

Although it is slightly weaker than a regular skeleton, it is no less dangerous thanks to its tipped arrows! You can find it spawning naturally in swamps and mangrove swamps, as well as in trial chambers.

  1. Be logged into your account
  2. Head to “Preferences” (https://minecraft.wiki/w/Special:Preferences)
  3. Head to “Gadgets”

Today's #Minecraft snapshot adds a drop to the breeze: The wind charge! Just like the breeze, you can use it to blast away other mobs, or to jump high up into the air!

For over a month before the fork, we were actively brainstorming ideas and making concepts for what our new theme could’ve been.

Not all ideas were followed through with and many things were tweaked, so we thought we’d share some of these prototypes with you. They are from various stages of the design process, and many different people chipped in and helped bring the new look of the wiki to life!
