Huge congratulations are in order for Drehmal: PRIMORDIAL team for releasing major update named Drehmal: Apotheosis!
Drehmal: PRIMORDIAL is one of the few #Minecraft community projects focused on creating a vanilla survival-adventure map at enormous scale for Java Edition.
This experience, crafted by entire team of programmers, builders, artists and writers is available to download for free at https://www.drehmal.net/
@voidedmain Of course! It's nice to post about some really cool community projects from time to time (especially when someone from our team is a fan! :blobfox3c:).
And hey, wiki is a community project by itself, good to highlight what's going on in it from time to time.
@voidedmain Thanks for your feedback! :blobfoxheart:
Some of our community members already discussed mentioning community projects and it's something we will indeed be looking to do from now on when there is something that catches our eyes.
A new #Minecraft snapshot 24w14potato appeared, adding an entire new dimension, blocks, mobs, paintings and many more. All of them, poisonous 🥔 themed.
Are poisonous potatoes the best Minecraft food? Who exactly is Potatolord of the Fried Legion? We may or may not learn answers to these questions with this very snapshot.
Game theorists, start placing your bets on which features of this April Fools snapshot may eventually make it into an actual game experience (in some shape or form, preferably with potato parts peeled off).
April Fools snapshots were always a great testbed for future additions to #Minecraft and allow developers to experiment with wild and rough ideas in safe environment while quietly observing player feedback.
It's not uncommon that when playing #Minecraft we need an answer to a quick question requiring use of math, knowledge of the arcane magic or both.
Our wiki team continues to work on small tools to help you answer those questions. We've recently added a mace damage calculator which you can use to calculate damage based on height from which you fall or vice versa.
@zperk13 Hello Zahary! You should be able to use any color, our tool uses standardized HTML Color Picker (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/Input/color), how it looks and what it allows you to do may depend on your operating system or browser, look for some place where you can pick a custom color.
I've attached the screenshot how this looks like for myself, though it will likely look differently for you.
@brawaru Hey! Yes, we've seen this requested a few times already and we are tracking this request. However as things sometimes tend to be, it's more difficult than just adding a CSS rule and would cause complications with our current system for themes.
All that said, it's certainly something we'll be continuing to look at in the future.
We are excited to announce to the #Minecraft community that the first six non-English language versions of the #MinecraftWiki have now also moved to their own new websites!
We are happy to announce that since our previous language wiki update in here, even more non-English communities of #MinecraftWiki have moved to our new home.
We've now got five more supported languages bringing us to the total of 12 languages! :blobfoxcheer:
Tired of seeing and touching regular green grass? Would you like something warmer and dryer for a change?
We've got you covered with our new Nether theme :blobfoxfloofdevil:
Are you ready for a challenge? The new Trial Chambers certainly pose one! They're a huge underground structure of winding corridors and rooms, filled with rewards but also danger. https://minecraft.wiki/w/Trial_Chambers
One of those dangers is the brand new breeze mob: a wind-themed blaze-like creature that likes to wreak havoc! https://minecraft.wiki/w/Breeze
@agentms There might be more stuff to come still for the trial chambers themselves too - for example, there's the Trial Key which has been added in this snapshot as well, but has no function yet: https://minecraft.wiki/w/Trial_Key
The Hollow Knight wiki moved away from Fandom yesterday, congratulations from us!
If you're wondering what's wrong with Fandom and why so many wikis are moving away recently, Hollow Knight YouTuber mossbag made an excellent and in-depth video about the topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcfuA_UAz3I
Did you know that during Halloween, bats spawn more frequently? And they've now also got a brand new look in the latest snapshot! https://minecraft.wiki/w/Bat
Additionally, some mobs currently spawn wearing carved pumpkins and jack o'lanterns, so get out there and catch some of these special mobs while they're still around!
@millions We do have a winter theme for the wiki. A Halloween theme is in the works, though it unfortunately is not ready quite yet. We'll have it ready for next year though!
Are you ready for #MinecraftLive? It takes place at 17:00 UTC on Sunday, October 15 - just three days from now!
It'll feature a lot of news about the game as well as its spin-offs, and also includes once again a vote about which mob should get added to the game.
The vote is open from Friday at 17:00 UTC until the beginning of Minecraft Live. It takes place in the Minecraft Launcher, the minecraft.net website, and a dedicated Bedrock server for the mob vote.
Here's the mobs that you can choose between this year:
🦀 The Crab! It has a claw it can lose, which can be used for placing blocks further away. https://minecraft.wiki/w/Crab
🌰 The Armadillo! When it gets startled, it hides in its shell. Sometimes, it drops its scutes which can be used as wolf armor. https://minecraft.wiki/w/Armadillo
🐧 The Penguin! It is amphibious and although a bit clumsy on land, a great swimmer who can boost your boat! https://minecraft.wiki/w/Penguin
