Continuing with theme of community, lets talk how #Minecraft is not just a product made by Mojang, but a labor of love in which #community plays a big part contributing to game's development and success.

We will try to focus on few spaces in which community directly or indirectly changes the game and culture around it. To do that for the next few days we will toot about one such place where communities plays a role, today we start with localization!

Localization, it's an important part of any type of software - it allows people from around the world to enjoy the game just the same in their native tongue.

Minecraft Java Edition as well as Minecraft Launcher are both translated by the community. The chosen translations often become de-facto accepted community names for #Minecraft. One important exception is Minecraft Bedrock Edition which is translated by professional #translation teams.

Bugs! You can't avoid bugs - errors, faults in the code. Software companies keep track of them with special bug tracking tools, Minecraft has one (yes, it's Jira) and it's public.
With help of the community, Mojang is able to find flaws in game way faster and address those flaws publicly.

This is very direct way in which players have ability to help make the game better.

It's not very often that we have something so significant to announce, but today is such a day, and we need your help.

A number of Minecraft Wiki community members believe that Fandom is no longer a suitable host for the wiki. We are now discussing the potential "fork" – the process of moving the wiki to a new platform. It is probably one of the most important discussions for the wiki, because its result will decide its future for years to come. (1/4)

If we do decide to fork in the end, we'll need a lot of help from all of you to spread the word about our new home. Fandom will keep the old wiki in case of a fork, and they won't let us use it to point you to the new home.
