And just in case you've forgotten, in the run up to the 2017 election nearly half of all offensive & abusive tweets sent to female MPs (and this was a lot of tweets) were sent to Diane Abbot.

Our account goal is not to be popular. Our goal is to inspire a few people to be the change about composting and hope that with a domino effect, they will inspire others.

This is why we have decided to stand for a few topics that are not related to composting.

We want LGBTQIA people to feel included here as I have myself a few letters of the umbrella. It is about to be #PrideMonth and we will celebrate this event.

We stand for the fact that the #climate crisis is a reality. We don't understand why we should follow the feelings of a few old men who are destroying this planet in the name of greed. Fuck that.

Also if democracy is about to be wiped out from the USA we will remind Americans that freedom is never a one-way road. Freedom should never be a privilege for a few people.

is manifestly a deeply conservative, dishonest politician, who is in no way aligned to historic Labour values. He has in fact purged more from the party than any leader I can think of in its history.

Not sure why a 'true business brain' would wipe out a previous regime? I see companies adopting this thinking regularly and it is a total disaster.

Well there is some opinion - I think largely about where your red lines are. But there are also some facts. There is also the uncomfortable reality that your argument from authority ("the country is about to disagree with me") is philosophically (very) problematic. You can check why yourself no doubt.

Category errors in your argument are that 'new brooms' are good; and that is a centrist / his opponents are 'hard-left'; and that we are yearning for the past.

I'm not gonna jump in on that thread about 'all men' but I am gonna say this:

While it's true that not all men do X, it is absolutely more true that patriarchy socializes ALL MEN to accept or be blind to certain truths about their position, importance, and relevance in the world.

Almost everything all men think of as 'natural' about their status in the world is not, in fact, true.
It was crafted through oppression, suppression, and violence.

It is also true that it takes an enormous amount of deliberate de-conditioning to throw off patriarchal thinking and praxis.

Those for whom 'not all men' truly apply (which is a small enough number to be sad and pitiful) know this to be true.

And so do the rest of us.

1/n a bit of Sunday night as I sadly head off for another week working away. Actually - not moaning: I have a job. That will do. But 3 unexpected weeks at home (Covid) were fabulous once I felt better and isolating is not so hard with a garden.

2/n the poppies will be fantastic again this year. What a plant! And the Borage is going mad already. I have to weeds its progeny daily when I’m at home.

When did I buy white ranunculus? I mean: they are absolutely stunning. But…??? And lastly, the tomatoes are coming on well: in the greenhouse they are unsurprisingly ahead. Despite full blight thru potatoes 3 weeks ago, nothing on the toms yet. Just a matter of time as usual.
