Ran with the Collie (12k, concrete road, some track) and then returned to take my mums elderly terrier for her 2k walk. Clearly the pair of them have had a disagreement overnight. They still are not talking after breakfast.
@Wen Out of curiosity. How long does that take? If I do long rural walks, by the time I've had a shower there's not enough day left. When I see people posting long daily runs or doing 10k or even 25k steps every day I wonder how they have time to do anything else.
The Collie & 'friend' photo is funny.
@Wen I've never been that fit! The longest walk I've done in a day is 28 miles. I think I'd like to work up to that distance again. A dog is on my list for when I'm in a better open space. Even the garden here isn't fenced, so not good for a dog. Used to have a lab. I can imagine a collie keeps you on your toes, they aren't built for relaxing😂 I love to watch working dogs at shows.
Love this variation on the polychromatic brick style of industrial building, using a mix of glazed and unglazed bricks. These windows are on the former sawmill offices on Craighall Road in Glasgow designed by George Bell and constructed in 1893.
A question to start today: Why is constructing the building on the left be VAT-free, while renovating the historic building on the right and converting it to a new purpose is not? To me, this is completely the wrong way round and such tax rules are undoubtedly contributing to what seems to be the rapidly-accelerating loss of our built heritage.
Good morning fellow Mastos and hello to Thursday. Hope you slept well. I was kept awake by the rain last night, which is annoying. However MrsD got up early and has taken Wesley out for wander, so I got a lie in.
Have a belter of a day, have fun, stay safe and never laugh at other people's misfortunes. Unless they are Tories!! 😉
Today's random photo is especially for @DoubleTreble and the @weirdfolks. it's a Highland Coo, but not as you know it!
Good morning fellow Mastos and hello to Wednesday. Tne weather is fine here today, wherever I am. Another driving day today, you'll be glad to hear, very few bad puns and dad jokes!
Have a great day without me, take care and have lots of fun.
Today's random photo is from Buckden in Upper Wharfedale and is titled "Dandelions need living too"!
@NormanDunbar I've got a thing about photos with flowers & rocks (even if it is concrete & dandelions). Weather is fine & dull here. I like dull maybe because I grew up in Blackpool & sunshine meant hoards of tourists everywhere. I took the photo in Iceland.
@bringbackmasksbc@covid@covid19@covidisairborne@auscovid19@longcovid I don't do selfies but we've worn FFP3 (N99) masks since we learnt covid was airbourne in 2020. We never, ever, leave the house without masks - even outdoors. Still covid-zero.

@bampot It's a pain in the posterior in England & all we can do is strategically vote to get Tories out. As for Scotland, I'm celebrating when you get independence & we're saving to move.
