Realizing that I can be the person who regularly brings in treats/food to work now.

I'm so excited.

I have several recipes up my sleeves for various food allergies and whatnot too. This is exciting.

I squealed with delight and then almost cried with happiness when I saw outside this morning.

Sorry to anyone in my area that has somewhere to go (although even at 9am it was absolutely silent outside). But Let me have this for a few days. A break from the shitshow that is life. Let me live in my snow-covered cottage and bake and smile and be transported to a winter wonderland. Life will come crashing through the roof soon enough.

Just finished this little guy for my SIL for #Christmas! :) She's from #Korea and this is her favourite #food, tteokbokki! Simmered rice cakes served in a gochujang based sauce. This is the first #amigurumi I've ever made without a pattern! Couldn't find one, but figured it should be easy enough to wing it, and I'm quite proud of the result ^^

It's done. Finally. I'm not even sure I'm overly happy with it, but that's probably just because I'm sick of working on it xP

Anyway, I present to you my #grannysquare #pixelart #mushroom blanket. I've worked on it on and off for about 4 years now, and then chopped the scope in half so I would actually finish it. It's more of a lap warmer, but done is certainly better than perfect :P

At what point do you stop investing in one way relationships?

It is wearying always being the first to reach out, to check in. The only one to extend an invitation.

I understand we all have seasons of life. I'm not talking months, I'm talking years.

To genuinely try to connect with someone only to be repeatedly met with indifference is hard. And I'm not sure I can take it anymore. Genetics or not.

Do I say something? Or just fade away?

@MsHearthWitch If you've never outright expressed this to them, then yeah, definitely say something. Clear communication is so important. If they're still aloof after that, their loss. If you've expressed it before and nothing changed, definitely time to fade away.

I’ve been playing a few new games this week!

For the People: Loving it so far! Solid 8/10 - A Soviet themed visual novel about corruption and politics.

Darkest Dungeon: An hour in and I’m hooked! The art style and challenging turn based combat is irresistible. 9/10, easy.

Journey to the Savage Planet: Very silly No Man’s Sky like space planetary exploration game. Not really my style but it’s at least chill, 7/10.

How were your gaming adventures this week?
