It's a shame Tox and the associated clients seem to have stopped development. I really thought they offered a decent p2p chat that was fully decentralised.

Whilst one could argue that you have to soapbox where the people are, doesn't using Twitter just allow Elon to say that Twitter hosts a range of views, further legitimising his platform?

-use alt text to translate my posts into French

-delete my Patreon because I don't deserve to make money

-sell merch with my facts on them because I deserve to make more money

-stop doing satire because it is enabling fascism and will get Trump reelected

I hear that a lot, but I can't help but see it as a bit of a licence not to care, kinda argument.

For one, people yell it like principles are something to be ashamed of. Like nothing any single person, even a billionaire will move the needle, everyone big-and-small could get on board with this. A single person can't end racism, does that mean we should do our bit when we can?
