    @SheDrivesMobility In Berlin werden derweil nicht nur bereits geplante, sinnvolle Projekte gestoppt, sondern wo es geht sogar die Uhr zurückgedreht. Auf der Leipziger Straße quer durch Mitte soll demnächst wieder Tempo 50 herrschen (aktuell: 30). Habe das Gefühl, dass wir in einem massiven Backlash stecken was Verkehrspolitik angeht. Jeder Besuch in Ländern um uns herum lässt mir die Tränen in die Augen treten. D ist so rückständig (in vielerlei Hinsicht…).

    If I am EVER as boring as this dude here, this unstructured, frankly ever this irrelevant when giving a speech, people PLEASE TELL ME. Even if it hurts.

    As a speech maker you’re taking your audience’s time. The LEAST you can do is try putting yourself in their shoes and structure your thoughts.

    If you’ve not done that you have failed.

    @NatureMC @notsoloud @jon To me this sounds a lot like the German version of patriarchy, which is worse than elsewhere. Only in Germany I have to occasionally observe those middle aged (mostly older) men rudely bawling out their wives in public for how stupid they are and explaining to them how the world works.
    I agree though that Germans can be international and open minded, usually among the younger generations (so there is hope 😉).

    Verzweifle gerade am Plugin für . Nutze WordPress bei Strato als fertiges Paket. ActivityPub lässt sich dort problemlos aktivieren. Auf Mastodon finde ich die Profile über die Suche und kann ihnen dort folgen. Auf der Profilseite wird bei Mastodon die Anzahl der Beiträge in den Profilinfos korrekt angezeigt. Allerdings fehlen die Beiträge selbst.

    Kann mir da jemand helfen oder mir einen Tipp geben? Liegt das Problem in den Servereinstellungen bei Strato?

    @pfefferle Danke für Deine Antwort! Leider sehe ich auch neue Beiträge nicht - lediglich der Counter in den Profilinfos geht eins rauf wenn ich im WP Blog etwas veröffentliche.

    Good morning from the night train Berlin - Brussels. I simply love night trains, for so many reasons: They are a very efficient way to travel between European cities, they make sense in a lot of ways, and there is a magic about travelling like 700-1000 km while sleeping (or at least resting 😉), that fascinates me since I was a kid. The future of European mobility should belong to night trains!!

    @jon @sebwilken Mhm too late, I’ll travel in a 4 p couchette on Thursday (no sleepers available anymore). I hope that I’ll have seen worse 😉.

    @jon @sebwilken Airco is indeed not a problem. With respect to the cars I am expecting something that looks like the night trains I remember from the 90s, when I used to travel by night train more often. The cars are probably built 70s/80s-ish, because where would they get newer cars from.

    @PGLux @jon @sebwilken Really interesting train with real vintage atmosphere. The couchette compartment is good enough, but you can really see the need for new carriages in the night train industry…

    DB had us leave 10 minutes late on the opposite platform without any announcement whatsoever. So nothing new on that front.

    Ever since the LLM boom started, I've been saying that AI code generation's biggest impact will be to increase the burden on highly-skilled programmers to wade through the mountains of code created by less-skilled programmers.

    @searls And now think about schools and the young generation and how we (used to) learn natural languages and all the other stuff you learn in schools - by struggling, trying, failing, trying again.
    I guess there’s some work to do to transform traditional schooling to LLM-based schooling…

    Bester Client SO FAR: Ivory. Und wenn man da jetzt am Frontend noch bissi was eigenes algorithmusmäßiges einstellen könnte... Sowas wie: "zeige mir in einem Tab alle Toots meiner föderierten Timeline mit mehr als 10 Favorites" zum Beispiel.

    @janboehm Hab auch verschiedene getestet so far inkl. Ivory unter iOS. Mein Fazit: Ice Cubes ist der beste Client! OpenSource und auch im AppStore top bewertet. @IceCubesApp
