“What would be informative: A minute or two of unedited video showing Trump’s rambling, incoherent and deranged rants. Rather than merely “fact check” the nonsense blizzard, reports can explore the unprecedented nature of his rhetoric, illustrate the deterioration in his thinking and speech, and discuss how an obviously irrational and unhinged leader casts a spell over his devoted following.” How to report on the election #JenniferRubin — https://wapo.st/45d5wpk
“The fact that Will Lewis keeps going to his network rather than plucking Washington Post leadership implies that he finds everyone lacking, and I think that’s kind of the most disturbing thing,” a second staffer told me.”
This is also really telling about their plans for The #WaPo
"Lewis also worked with Winnett at the UK’s The Sunday Times and, in 2007, hired him at The Daily Telegraph, the right-leaning British paper that Lewis, himself, was recently looking to purchase along with investors.”

As @davidfolkenflik has pointed out the Washington Post, the WSJ, Bloomberg News, CNN are all run by British CEOs now. We should be asking tough and loud questions about why in a country brimming with talented journalistic & business leaders our major news outlets feel compelled to hire leaders from outside the country.
“Trump’s entire persona is built around the facade that he is a powerful strongman, impervious to attacks and solely capable of defending his followers.
“Now he stands for election as a convict, a weak man too cowardly to take the stand who was bested by a local district attorney. The totalitarian edifice looks pockmarked.”
How America could vote for this weak, shouty, cry-baby is beyond me.
Sure this will be talked about for a while, but history was made today. And, I’m hopeful, justice prevailed. Here’s how it was reported by my local paper. https://wapo.st/3KoMJh8#GiftLink#TFG#WaPo
Regular readers of the WaPo can be forgiven for expecting that the "hdden force" might turn out to be Taylor Swift fans, or a new technique for loading your dishwasher.
Note: there is a minority movement in chiropractic that rejects the original, magic-energy-flows-through-the-spine version of that practice.
The article contains amazingly false balance, as you'd expect from non-science journalists covering science. They can't tell the experts from the quacks. #WashingtonPost#WaPo
"The document says the outcome of Russia’s war in Ukraine will “to a great degree determine the outlines of the future world order,” a clear indication that Moscow sees the result of its invasion as inextricably bound with its ability — and that of other authoritarian nations — to impose its will globally."
@jeffjarvis Headline is sufficient. Lazy asshole journalists stating the obvious get #NoCredit and #NoClicks. #Wapo idiocy deserves screenshot of its moronically-obvious headline only.
I haven't heard the album yet, probably won't ever hear it except whenever various songs trickle in through the membranes of my social media bubble. But I can tell you right now, I don't need a bearded white man in the Washington Post to tell me what I ought to think about Beyoncé’s country music album.
"The Biden administration in recent days quietly authorized the transfer of billions of dollars in bombs and fighter jets to Israel despite Washington’s concerns about an anticipated military offensive in southern Gaza that could threaten the lives of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians"
#Palestine / Israel announces largest West Bank land seizure since 1993 during Blinken visit
Israel's settlements in the occupied West Bank are widely viewed as a violation of international law, which prohibits the transfer of civilian populations to territories seized through military force. Despite this legal standing, the Israeli government has continued to expand its control over Palestinian lands in the West Bank through various mechanisms, including land appropriation orders.
[…] “If the Israelis annex this area near Maale Adumim, it will be a catastrophe for Palestinians who live in the south, […] Palestinian traders, especially in the south, will be cut off, and it will become impossible to have any independent Palestinian ways of life.”
