Rip. #Steam's #TeamFortress2 (and apparently all the other source games acfording to reports on ProtonDB) no longer work on Linux since a recent update (apparently a week or so ago, but I havent played in a month).
Strange that #Valve of all people would update their games to NOT work. Was really hoping to pick it back up again :/
Experimenting further into this forsaken #SteamDeck bug of non-#steam apps either not being able to exit properly or #SteamOS simply not recognising that they've exited. Each of them were, twice, opened n exited to see how many would behave right "reliably" (spoiler: 0 🥳).
I really enjoyed hearing Liam from @gamingonlinux on the latest Linux Downtime #podcast.
As always, great insights on the state of gaming & #SteamDeck from someone who's been covering it for 14 years.
I'd love to hear someone devote an entire podcast episode to this topic: Does #Valve have TOO much of a stake in Linux gaming? What happens if they stop investing effort into it?
Do you know what #gaming really needs? #Valve to make #controllers again, there's a whole bunch of gamers now enjoying the #SteamDeck's wonderful controls and utilising #steaminput to great effect and we don't have an official Valve controller to enjoy Steam Input on a PC to the fullest.
These don't need to be like the old Steam Controller, they should be more like the Steam Deck.
