your bet on who is next to be shuttered down?
my bet is #Arkane Lyon and #Rare (Sea of Thieves). both of them make high-quality games (Arkane: DEATHLOOP, Dishonored 1/2/DotO; Rare: #SeaOfThieves) and are NOT money behemoths, so they are likely the next target
Rare has broken #SeaOfThieves on #Linux. It no longer works. What I love about this is the fact that a lot of Linux users are angry and demanding a quick fix for the game on their operating system. #LinuxGaming has come such a long way that we have now grown balls to demand the product we paid for to be functional. And the best part is that Rare is "aware of the issue and working on a fix."
Ngl, sometimes the "Sea of Thieves" community sucks pure and utter ass.
I get that it's a pirate game and part of the experience is pvp and robbing and killing each other.
BUT chasing an empty ship across the whole map, just to make others feel miserable and destroy their experience, goes too far, imo.
Those are the exact people who were whining about the implementation of the "Safer Seas" feature, complaining there would be less players in the open seas, then.
Sea of Thieves recently received a DX12 update, and performance has improved. At maximum graphics settings (higher than XSX), I am now getting 240 fps without frame generation. This is at FHD resolution, but at QHD it is around 160 fps, so I have adjusted it to the maximum resolution where I can keep it above 120 fps in every scenario. I am very happy with the update.
I’m really looking forward to the #PlayStation release of #SeaOfThieves and keeping my fingers crossed that we get a good package with lots of content. I’ve always had my eye on the game, but it was never available as an exclusive. It looks like so much fun, I could really enjoy the style of the game. — #Gaming#ShareYourGames
