A much anticipated NASA report on UFOs calls for better tracking and scientific understanding of unexplained phenomena that captivate the public and have raised concerns about military security.
Watching this live #NASA conference on #UFOs (or #UAPs), I can't help but feel most of the questions are from people wanting their hobby horses to be indulged.
The alleged bodies of two "non-human" beings were presented during a congressional hearing in Mexico, generating a mixture of surprise, disbelief and ridicule on social media on Wednesday.
TBT that time the #NYTimes published an article saying manmade flying machines (yeah, just...flight) would take more than a million years to develop, and was therefore a complete waste of time and money.
Dogma, whether social, political, religious, or, yes, SCIENTIFIC, is never beneficial to progress, yet we seem incapable of learning this lesson at a societal or institutional level, comfortable in our current paradigm, whatever that may be.
No one can say where the future will lead, but the only near-certainty is that we won't be standing still. We will learn things that shatter our preconceived notions and make our previous knowledge seem foolishly naive.
The best thing you can do, in all things, is to keep an open mind.
'We're not there at all': GOP rep. knocks down Maria Bartiromo's push for Biden impeachment
Impeachment and removal in the Senate are supposed to work like,
President does something so the will of the people should be disregarded and POTUS should be removed.
GOP, "Let's overturn every rock until we can find some reason to disregard the will of the people and remove Biden then we'll do the same to Kamala Harris and put Kevin McCarthy in as POTUS." #USPoll
@paul
"GOP, "Let's overturn every rock until we can find some reason to disregard the will of the people and remove Biden"
The problem is, the #GOP needs that thing call 'evidence'. I'm sure David Grusch would produce it for them, as long as it's in private and about #UFOs (#UAPs) and Space Aliens. That's the ticket!
I was surprised to see Kelsey Atherton's name on the tech won't save us feed. He is one of the very very few military journalists that I can read, I think he does a good job of writing about surveillance and violence in a way that is both deeply human and also unflinchingly real. Interesting thoughts on #UAPs / #UFOs
The idea of technological surprise is a compelling American story. What if someone showed up from a faraway land in a way that was devastating to us? There's an unconscious or conscious thought that "what if US history happened to (settler) Americans instead"
Seriously, why are people who so often claim to be enlightened so averse to ideas that threaten their worldview? Just take a moment, and think, IF this is true, then this information is more valuable than the development of the atomic bomb. The Manhattan Project never leaked, by the way. We are talking about the most valuable secret in the history of humanity. Grusch has insinuated people have been killed over it.
Just stop with the ridicule and think, what would this look like if it were all true?
It would look like this.
So, should we all believe Grusch just because he's sharing knowledge second hand?
Of course not. The point is that his claims need to be taken seriously, and investigated soberly and with a focus on transparency. This stuff is provable.
It's plain to me that David Grusch is not a random nut or your standard grifter.
What's happening this week has many high-level people and very serious weight behind it.
So, two possibilities:
(A) This event is for real. The grand disclosure is finally happening and we are living thru it.
(B) Grusch is knowingly or unknowingly part of a massive orchestrated government conspiracy to make people think there are aliens. For what purpose they'd go to all this effort, I really hate to imagine.
... and I was just thinking this morning that this world needs a hard reset 🙃
"The publication of Grusch and Grey’s claims comes after a panel that the US space agency Nasa charged with investigating unexplained anomalous phenomena said stigma around reporting encounters – and harassment of those who do report encounters – was hindering its work."
The site, which is being billed as a "one-stop shop" for publicly available records about #UFOs, is expected to shed light on the work of an office #Congress created last year that coordinates efforts across federal agencies to detect and identify what the #Pentagon officially refers to as unidentified anomalous phenomena, or #UAPs. #UFO#UAP
Intriguing story of what appears to be an actual whistleblower, I mean someone who as far as I can tell did go through procedure rather than immediately leaking classified info to the press or other public forum (?) although the details are somewhat hard to parse.
Related: Past boss of mine spoke at NASA's public meeting on #UAPs just a few days ago. Maybe I retired too soon. #space#UFO

Whether or not UFOs exist, we need to pay attention to how they are influencing our politics and culture
