Did you miss the A-Train to #HarlemUnbound? Want to dive into the original multi-award-winning first edition? I've got you covered, hep cat! #CallofCthulhu#gumshoe
I just released a solo tabletop-RPG on itch, come check it!
The RPG is about looking to the past and saying good bye.
It take place just before your best friend's funeral.
Don't forget your phone, you may need some old messages to play this game.
I put a lot of myself in this one, more than I thought. I hope it will resonate with some of you.
If you haven't defeated an invading force of hobgoblins & ogres with a stampede of cattle, can you really call yourself an adventurer?
Bonus points if you yell the Tremors quote at the table! lol
Based on my previous post (https://mstdn.dk/@leeleedee/111714845320025505), I thought I would start a thread of #TTRPGs and other #TabletopGaming books, adventures and resources that ARE available to buy as physical books in the EU (i.e printed and shipped from an EU source)
So if you are a game designer or author who has their books available on, for example, lulu.com, or you have previously purchased a great printed/physical #TTRPG resource and had it shipped to you in the EU, without added import taxes, then post a link to it as a reply here!
Meet my third micro-rpg submission to the 24-word Game Jam on #itchio . This one's exactly 24 words and the game rules are presented as a poem. It's called "Friends Against The Darkness" and is about friendship and virtue. Boosts appreciated! #rpg#ttrpg#ttrpgs#indiegame
To put my question about indie #TTRPGs in to context. This is one of the topics I am currently writing on, and thus reading a lot about "indie" in different genres. And it is all very illuminating. But my folklorist background won't allow me to write anything without actually "touching base", and asking what does the folk think, producing the glimpse of an emic perspective that allows me to thing academically about shit. I know. I am weird. #gamestudies
#Introduction posts are always hard to write.
I'm Garden, also known as Lilly, though I'm also #plural and can go by a good handful of other names too if I feel like it.
I hail from the land of tech.lgbt where my main account @grdnsys is (for now, no idea if I want to move yet)
I'm from Norway, Trondheim to be specific where I somehow ended up getting elected to the city council, I also do a bunch of activism, though I probably wont post a bunch about politics here.
Its kind of a job and I cant be bothered to talk about my job all the time. Same with tech, I work in IT but that also means I probably wont talk about it too much, maybe with the exception of some complaining about work every now and then. Though I will try to not do that too much.
I like #ttrpgs though I don't play any right now, and I'm mostly familiar with #dnd.
I'm queer like seemingly almost everyone on the fediverse.
Idk what else...
I play games whenever I have time, mostly single-player things and cozy things I can play with my partner.
I have #ADHD and I have some issues with #chronicillness
I want to do art but said chronic illness and some wrist injury is kinda making that hard, but I might post my attempts at doing art again if I'm ever able to.
I am an adult, but I have no plans on posting things that are 18+, though there might be a lewd joke here and there behind a CW

Had to make a little funny about the shake up at Hasbro. I hope everyone that left Hasbro gets back on their feet and becomes way more successful without Habro. Happy New Year. @ttrpg #TTRPGs

Do you like to make your own #TTRPGs worlds or run around in someone else's? What are the pitfalls of doing that? Why is it awesome? Some of my best games I've played or run have been in other people's worlds, from Star Wars to Legend of the Five Rings. It time to talk about all of it! @ttrpg
If you still like D&D but don't like Hasbro, do not despair. You have options.
You can still play with the stuff you own. You already gave them your money. Hopefully some of that went to the people who worked on it (before, you know, they were fired).
Support third-party D&D d20 products. I hear there are some good things in the works for 2024.
Switch to something else. There are lots of other fantasy #TTRPGs out there, any many are great (perhaps better than D&D?).
Let's Plays and Actual Plays fall into a hazy legal area. Sometimes you'll be fine, sometimes you'll get shut down. #TTRPGs are games where it explicitly states for you to create your own stories, but as soon as you share those you could face legal action. We discuss this today on the Dead Unicorn: https://youtu.be/sKF1dpDPFuU @ttrpg
