Mastodon will never be superior to other social media platforms if it doesn't adopt #PascalCase when suggesting hashtags. Defaulting to all lower case does nothing to help me understand the difference between #therapists and #therapists.
I have superior vision to many my age, but if using #PascalCase was the default, even I wouldn't have unnecessary misunderstandings. It must be quite challenging for people who rely on screen readers.
#Doctors and #Therapists, who work with #Disabled people. Let me put it to you straight. You don't know shit about the disabled experience. No matter how many degrees you have. No matter how many classes you've taken or how many books you've read, acting like you do automatically makes you the asshole. Until you're #Blind, or in a #Wheelchair, or #Deaf, or in #CronicPain or even have mental disabilities like crippling #Anxiety or #ADHD or anything that can be mentioned, you can't say you know what you're doing and how to help when you don't so actually take the time to listen to the people you are sworn to take care of under oath and show some human empathy and because you're doctors you're held to the highest standard. There is no excuse as a doctor not to believe your people and not to do everything within your power, even if you have to bend the rules slightly to make sure your patients get taken care of to the highest degree and anything below that and you've failed.

Anybody have an opinion about clinical neuropsychologist David Nowell, PhD? I gather he has a blog at PsychToady, which does not incline me to think well of a clinician, but everyone makes mistakes. He's apparently some sort of ADHD expert, but he's a bit off the beaten path – apparently very interested in nutrition and ADHD, among other things. I'm curious whether adults who have ADHD find any benefit in his work, or whether he's considered problematic, or whether nobody's ever heard of the guy, or what.
I ask because I was just advertised an upcoming CE training of his, and I have a CE deadline coming up, so was wondering if I should do it.

It's an income replacement insurance program, for if you are out of work for medical reasons, yours or a family member's (and they have explicitly defined family member to be more inclusive of LGBTQIA+ families than the federal FMLA program, which doesn't cover us self-employed people anyway).
I just found out my premiums for the whole year would be less than $500. Total.
They would pay out more than that in a SINGLE WEEK of my being out due to a qualifying medical reason.

The advice I'm seeing online about how to write one includes indicating the URL where the "original material" "is" "online". What happens when the original material is no longer being served? That is, the infringing site is serving, without permission, copyrighted material which is not anywhere on the internet anymore, not even in the WayBack machine?
Asking for a bunch of #therapists whose old PsychToday profiles & photos were ripped off apparently years ago and are currently being served by a directory site without their permission, but who have either long since taken down their PsychToday profiles or changed them so they no longer show the version of the profile that's being infringingly served.
