De momento #Telegram sigue funcionando en #España, con o sin #VPN o #proxy, pero los canales parecen estar bloqueados en la versión de la app descargada por #GooglePlay.
En cualquier caso usar una VPN o un proxy de una VPN de pago siempre con Telegram es buena idea.

So, I've been arguing with myself over whether I should resurrect my #Telegram account or not. From various sources, I get the impression that their platform isn't all that secure despite their claims. If memory serves, one of the sources said they wouldn't trust it with anything more than a casual conversation, and definitely wouldn't trust it with more sensitive topics. I'm not interested in using #Meta services, so things like #Messenger & #WhatsApp are not options I'd consider. At this point, my messaging options are #Signal and #Matrix even though the latter isn't the most #accessible option. Heck, when you get down to it, the former has a few accessibility annoyances on #Android which is the mobile platform I use. Decisions, decisions...
I'm a little late to this, but I feel the need to mention it because I feel like these people are just going to move to Telegram, if they already haven't.
Telegram is NOT a better alternative to Discord. It asks for your phone number (huge red flag), lies about being end-to-end encrypted (encryption is done server-side), is centralized, and not entirely FOSS (server-side software is closed source). Look into decentralized/self-hosted solutions instead.
I personally recommend hosting an XMPP server. Install an XMPP server stack that supports multi-user-chats and host your discussions there. With XMPP, you can sign up for an account on any server and talk to anyone, including people from other servers. There are even modernized web-clients like Movim which make it more user friendly.
For private/direct messages, you can also end-to-end encrypt them using OMEMO. Just don't use them for public MUCs or you will end up having problems. You really don't need to encrypt a public chat anyway.

Alla fine non lo avevo fatto ancora, e ora che ci ripenso avrei forse potuto riciclare il mio vecchio profilo Mastodon in disuso @octtpz, però che palle… quindi ieri sera mi è tornato in mente #Pinterest, e ho ricreato l’account lì. C’era un software del Fediverso che avrebbe dovuto ricreare la stessa esperienza, Pinetta, ma… il progetto è evidentemente morto ancora prima di partire. Forse è un bene, perché senza un buon algoritmo non funziona bene quel paradigma, con buona pace dell’ideologia del software libero… 💀
Vabbè, per chi interessa quindi ho creato un canale #Telegram aggiuntivo, con il mio bot che potrà inviare in teoria varie cose, ma in pratica ora saranno soltanto tutti i miei Pin (cioè i post sul sito lì inviati da altri utenti che salvo nelle raccolte, ed i link e #media che pubblico io): @lagumma. Se non mi inizierò a scocciare, attenzione che lì arriveranno #meme relatable da malattia mentale e foto cute da gente a casissimo con un ritmo incessante. Alternativamente alla #app di Durov, che per quanto marcia è comoda, ci sta anche il feed #RSS. 💯
