After 75 years of failure, one would imagine that a people would learn what works and what doesn’t, both from their own experience, as well as the experience of others.
What happened instead was a wave of Palestinian violence… with the goals of eliminating Israel over freedom—that has been the preference of generations of #Palestinian leaders.

Push to recognise Palestine statehood wins more support
On Tuesday, The Bahamas announced that it had decided to recognise Palestine as a state. Five countries in the European Union are also reportedly considering the move: Ireland, Spain, Slovenia, Malta and Norway. Jamaica recognised it in April. Hamas’s ruthless & spectacular attack on Israel last Sat was many things: an atrocity, a display of militant ingenuity, & a demo of the weakness of #Israeli intelligence & defenses.
#Hamas has never been a part of the #PLO, in large measure because it is unwilling to accept the PLO’s #treaty agreements w/ #Israel. The most notable among these is the #OsloAccords, which included recognition of Israel by #Palestinians but no Israeli recognition of a Palestinian state or a Palestinian right to #statehood.
Hamas is attempting to seal the fate of #Fatah, & maneuver to eventually take over the PLO & its int’l diplomatic presence, incl’g #UN observer-state status & embassies….
