Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos drew the line when asked about the David Fincher's U.S. remake of the Korean-language original TV series "Squid Game," telling the Korean press that is "just a rumor" during his two-day visit to Korea.
Is there a website or an online museum which tracked the originals of traditional #games and how it spread across different nations?
There are traditional games in #Korea and the #Philippines which are (very) similar, yet, there was no known contact between the two nations at the time these traditional games were estimated to have been “developed”.
That only leaves us with two possibilities:
The games did develop independently. Which someone gives us the idea that humans think similarly regardless of place and time.
Another foreign contact brought the games.
Here are some examples:
Korea: Red Light, Green Light.
Philippines: Stop, Go.
Philippines: Sipa (predates Spanish rule)
Korea: I don't remember what it's called, but I first saw it in a #RunningMan episode.

@Simon_M it was on a par with the UK one but the UK one won for me cos: 1. It was the first one I saw so the genre was new 2. The fire & coloured flames end game is much more dramatic
Although I think the games to get silver were much better in the Australian version - referencing #SquidGame with the bridge was awesome! Their last game was much harder too cos the lasers moved.
