Writer friends! I can finally show y'all the cover for This Is How Immortals Die, the first book in the World Without Love series - which I talk a lot about in #WordWeavers :D Created by the great David Leahey (https://www.instagram.com/leaheyart/?hl=en)
I'm working on getting my author page on Goodreads, but the book is already on the database if anyone wants to read the blurb... maybe add it to your wishlist too? 😛 https://shorturl.at/wxV56
Kinners, mer könne bald hier, Dings, Cover Reveal, nech? Weiäl @ashyda hat nu auch die Buchrückseite von #Paranuit fertig und haaaach, es wird ein so krass hübsches Taschenbuch. ❤
I have traditionally and self-published titles in my portfolio. The self-published non-fiction easily earned more money, more quickly than the traditionally published titles.
So … why do I continue to fetishize traditional publishing? Why do I think of it as legitimizing my work? All the infrastructure needed to connect directly with my readers is in place. Should I really just … go for it? Have you? And if so, how’s it going?
If you're an #author who is considering self-recording your novel as an #audiobook, make sure to read this linked toot and watch the embedded video.
They're VERY informational about the process of recording and why you get your money's worth if you pay a (human) professional.
Maybe you already have a nice recording studio & equipment in your home/apartment, AND also have the skills for recording your own book-- or maybe you don't. Maybe you need to budget the funds to pay a professional #narrator-- or maybe you don't.
Waaah!
Inside my Bowerbirds! Book published by Blurb books. Not all Bowerbirds are blue! Not all Bowerbirds collect blue objects! #bowerbirds#Blurbbooks#selfpublishing
Today's #WritersCoffeeClub question got me thinking again about self-publishing my work...
Just as an exploratory exercise (for now), does anyone have recs for artists who take commissions for book covers? Especially for PoM, I'm interested in a more "painterly" old-school fantasy novel style, and I have a design background, so I would want to work with someone willing to engage me in the process
