#phptek So many old-timers in this room. So many php careers that can vote, drink... and a few that are old enough to run for president.

I cannot understate how valuable @vanamerongen's talk tomorrow at #phptek will be. If you're on site, you need to be there. If you're not on site, go to phptek.tv and get a virtual ticket.

Your coding skills will be greatly increased by just listening to this content.

Thanks to everyone who came to my talk about CQRS — first iterations of talks can be rough but I hit all the stuff I wanted to talk about #phptek24 #phptek

It's time to learn how to git gud with @vanamerongen at #phptek

Separating reads from writes and having smaller controllers that are easier to follow seems like an excellent case for CQRS. A lot of code out there is trying to do way too much, so I'm all for breaking things down into smaller responsibilities. @grmpyprogrammer

@grmpyprogrammer talking about "the blurry shape of what code should look like" takes me back, once again, to John Kary's excellent talk, "Rethinking Loops", from way back at Midwest PHP 2016. There's no presentation that's had a bigger impact on my career. https://johnkary.net/slides/loops/midwest-php-2016/#/

Looking around the room, I don't think anyone in the room qualifies as a whippersnapper... Sadly.
