One last Musk Thistle photo for the season. We (volunteers) have been ‘asked’ to remove this invasive, noxious weed. It is the primary nectar-producing plant out in the prairie where visitor can easily see all of the bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, … feeding, we have been moving aggravatingly slow. Guess we will have to finish sometime this summer.
Took these photos back in April and just getting around to editing them. I came across this crab apples tree along a main avenue. I couldn't get a good angle for a wider shot but it was smothered in blooms. The vertical branches looked like enormous lamb's legs😮 . It was a pretty incredible sight.
