A less well known viewpoint on the Lynn Peak route, looking towards the Grouse range. Appropriate as the deep booming sound of the #grouse reminded me I was but a visitor to its terrain. Meteor Peak, standing at 8,133 ft (2,478.94 m), along with the surrounding peaks of the Hayes Range, a subrange of the Alaska Range, towering over the Black Rapids Glacier in the foreground.
Nainital, located in the Kumaon foothills of the Himalayas, is renowned for its picturesque beauty and serene surroundings. The heart of the town is Naini Lake, surrounded by lush hills, offering boating and stunning views.

Pictures from last night's evening/sunset hike to a 400m tall waterfall at the end of the valley, celebrating several family events/milestones/anniversaries... Felt like we had the whole valley to ourselves (...and the birdies, and hares and bambies on the way)
