Today's Ride: Some absolutely gorgeous mists on the spit and a few interactions with others. Positive interactions first. I took a break in a park by the lake. There was a family who were taking pics of themselves and the area. Another park user offered to take their picture as a group. As the pic taker walked away they asked to get a pic with her. They all took selfies with the pic taker. As the pic taker left I told them how charming that was and they smiled and said they love to do stuff like that and that they bet they are famous in Japan. I wished them a good day. I then continued my ride. Maybe 20 mins later I ran into pic taker again and hollered, "Hey, aren't you famous in Japan" SMILES. AND. LAUGHTER. #GoodTimes#TodaysRide#BikeTO#BikeTooter
There is also a cyclist who wears a full covid face shield when they ride around the spit. I cross their path often and have begun to wave and say hello. They do the same in response. We've never stopped to talk. Saw them again today. The miserable screamy feeling when you have an error in a program, you alter the source code, you run it again, it fails in the same way, then you look at the error message and notice the line numbers have not changed and therefore the change you made was not actually incorporated into the version of the program you ran and you don't know why
@mcc Often for me that was forgetting to save in my editor before going to the shell window to run. Eventually I had to configure every editor to auto-save when it loses focus. My favorite version of the problem is accidentally editing an entirely separate version of the source code. #goodtimes
But, at the end of the day both are #evil in that they destroy the #environment equally effectively. The China model does it through command and control efficiency gains. The American model through sheer profligacy.

Last year right before Christmas I had to take our cat to be put down. This year the mice figured out the cat was away and boy do they play. So I've had traps out. Caught over ten. But I forgot about one trap on the back of our counter behind some condiment bottles.
My wife found it last night, It had been there many days, apparently....
So I had the opportunity to scrape rotten mouse flesh off the formica, then puke in the sink for a while. #MerryChristmas Eve! #GoodTimes

I got everything unpacked and the MacBook Air I could not get to connect with Mama’s wifi reconnected here without trouble.
Nephew came by and hung out for a couple hours and that was really nice. We talked and had some laughs. #GoodTimes
