Forgive the recent apparent obsession (I’d call it a fascination) with the #cycloid but I’ve just discovered something I’d not heard of before. It is also called a #TautochroneCurve or #Isochrone curve, which means that a particle starting from any location on the curve will get to the #MinimumPoint at precisely the same time as a particle starting at any other point.

@doboprobodyne is openbsd generally the one to run on a laptop?
and like, how do you find it as far as 'all the devices i wanted more or less work' factor?
i have a thinkpad carbon x1 here that was running linux but maybe would be cool with bsd?
Sadly my daily driver is still Linux due to wanting a couple of programs that aren't yet on #openbsd. Also because I want to follow novice tutorials for some things and having a very widely-used flavour of linux makes it much easier for me. Most of what I use for work can be accessed via a browser though, and I believe in learning by doing, so I will try to migrate to or towards #openbsd when I get time.
I'd say try it on an old thinkpad and see how it feels!
